Zitong Street
Zitong street, belonging to Tongnan District of Chongqing, is located in the northwest of Tongnan District, adjacent to Shanghe and biekou in the East, Tianjia and Taian in the south, Baizi and Shuangjiang in the west, Guilin street, Qunli and Longxing in the north, with a total area of 80 square kilometers.
In 1701, a town was built and named Zitong town. In June 2006, Zitong street was changed from Zitong town. At the end of 2011, the total population of Zitong street was 130600. As of June 2020, Zitong street has jurisdiction over 16 communities and 11 administrative villages, and its sub district office is located in Liangfengya.
At the end of 2011, the total financial revenue of Zitong street was 175 million yuan, an increase of 25% over 2010; the total agricultural output value reached 520 million yuan, an increase of 17.5% over 2010; the total industrial output value was 3.01 billion yuan, an industrial sales revenue of 1.95 billion yuan, and an industrial added value of 1.2 billion yuan, accounting for 33.3% of the GDP.
History of construction
In the 40th year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty (1701), the temple was built, the statue of emperor was decorated, and the town was built, named Zitong town. In 1722 (the 61st year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty), the Qing government divided Suining County into Chengzhu town and salt industry inspection.
The first year of the Republic of China (1912), for the Dongan County. In 1914, it was ruled by Tongnan district. In 1915, Zitong street was set as an urban town.
In January 1951, the city town was abolished and managed by the city police station.
In January 1954, Chengguan town was newly established.
In September 1977, Chengguan town was upgraded from township town to district town.
In July 1981, Chengguan town was renamed Zitong town.
In 1993, Dafo district was abolished, and 5 townships under its jurisdiction were included in Zitong town.
In June 2006, Zitong town was abolished and Zitong street was set up.

In June 1985, Zitong town (now Zitong Street) was expanded, and some village groups of Sifang, sentinel tower, Dafo and Dongfeng Township were under the jurisdiction of Zitong town. Group 2 of Chaoyang village and group 3 of Yanwan village were Xinqiao village; group 2 of Shengli village of Dafo Township and group 2 of Shinian village of Sifang Township were Shinian village; group 4 of Guanyin village and group 1 of Xibu village of Dongfeng Township were Lianhua village; group 6 of baonian village were Huamiao village; and group 3 of suburban villages were under the jurisdiction of Zitong street 6 villager groups; 8 communities and 85 resident groups in the urban area under the jurisdiction of Zitong street.
By the end of 2011, Zitong street had jurisdiction over 7 communities, including Lijia temple, Douya Bay, memorial, diaoloupo, jielongqiao, Yanwan and Daqiao, 20 administrative villages, including Qianjin, Xinsheng, Fengchan, Weixing, Shengli, Wenjia, Bali, brazier, Shinan, gaoti, Shipan, sentry tower, Yungu, Qifo, Daping, Wulang, Litai, Luojia, Qingyan and Qilong, and 62 resident groups and 156 villages People's group.
