Yajiang town

Yajiang Town, belonging to Wulong District of Chongqing, is located in the northwest of Wulong District, bordering Heshun town in the East, Pingqiao Town, Miaoya Township and Fenglai Township in the south, Mawu town in Fuling District in the west, Baitao town and Lizhi street in Fuling District in the north. It is 56 kilometers away from the residence of the people's Government of Wulong District, with a total area of 120.7 square kilometers.

In Shu Han Dynasty, Yajiang town was set up as Hanping County in Yajiang area; in September 1992, it was changed from Yajiang township to Yajiang town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in the town was 21783. As of June 2020, Yajiang town has one community and nine administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the people's Government of Yajiang town is stationed in Yajiang farm.

History of construction

In Shu Han Dynasty, Hanping county was set up in the area of Yajiang river.

In July 1958, Yajiang township was changed into Yajiang commune.
