Zhongyi Township

Zhongyi Township, belonging to Shizhu Tujia Autonomous County of Chongqing, is located in the east of the central part of Shizhu Tujia Autonomous County, adjacent to Lengshui town in the East, Shasha town and Sanhe Town in the south, Sanhe Town, Qiaotou town and Sanyi Township in the west, and Huangshui town in the north. It is 40 km away from the residence of Shizhu Tujia Autonomous County Government, with a total area of 160.54 square kilometers.

In 1381, Zhongyi township was assigned to nanbinli, Fengdu County; in November 1983, it was changed from Zhongyi commune to Zhongyi township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of Zhongyi township was 8227. As of June 2020, Zhongyi township has jurisdiction over seven administrative villages, and the Township People's government is stationed at No. 1 Daba street, Huaxi village.

The main food crops in Zhongyi township are rice, corn and potato; the main animal husbandry is raising pigs, cattle, sheep and poultry; the main industry is ironware, wood processing and manufacturing, building materials and brewing. In 2018, Zhongyi township has 1 industrial enterprise and 10 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters. History of construction

In 1381, when Nanbin county was withdrawn, the territory was assigned to nanbinli, Fengdu County.

Qing Kangxi six years (1667), belong to Fengdu County anrenli twelve a; Qing Guangxu first year (1875), set the site, to the east of the dam, the west of the dam, named zhongbachang; Qing Xuantong two years (1910), compiled as Yishun Township, in qiaotouba.

In January 1930, Zhongba township was set up and stationed in Zhongba farm. In September 1935, zhongbachang was changed into Zhongyi town. In August 1940, Zhongyi town was changed into Zhongyi township. In January 1945, Zhongyi Township set up Sanyi Township with three guarantees.

In February 1953, Yanjing township was established in Sanyi township.

In September 1958, Zhongyi township was changed into Zhongyi commune.

In November 1983, Zhongyi commune was changed into Zhongyi township; on December 9 of the same year, Yanjing township was merged into Zhongyi township.

In July 2001, guantian township was merged into Zhongyi township.
