Huanghe Town, subordinate to Shizhu Tujia Autonomous County of Chongqing, is located in the southeast of Shizhu Tujia Autonomous County, adjacent to Wendou Township and Pengshui County of Lichuan City in Hubei Province in the East, Mawu town in the south, Longtan Township in the west, Xixin Township and Liutang Township in the north, with a total area of 39.07 square kilometers.

History of construction
In April 1942, when Fengdu and Shizhu counties adjusted their flower arrangement enclaves, the territory was transferred from Fengdu county to Shizhu County, named Zihe township. In November 1942, Zihe township was renamed Huanghe township.
On February 2, 1953, Huanghe Township established qiliao Township, and in May of the same year, Qishu township was established.
In December 1956, Qishu township was merged into Huanghe township.
In September 1958, Huanghe township was changed into Huanghe commune.
In November 1983, Huanghe commune was changed into Huanghe township.
