Yuchi Town, subordinate to Shizhu Tujia Autonomous County of Chongqing, is located in the northwest of Shizhu Tujia Autonomous County, adjacent to Yuelai town and shijiaxiang in the East, Longsha town in the south, Wanchao Town, Yanxi town and Wangchang town in the west, Xituo town and wangjiaxiang in the north, 46 km away from Shizhu Tujia Autonomous County Government, with a total area of 99.63 square kilometers.
In 1381, Yuchi town was under the jurisdiction of Shi Si Xuanfu; in July 2001, Yuchi town was changed from Yuchi township to Yuchi town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in the town was 14676. As of June 2020, Yuchi town has 8 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the people's Government of Yuchi town is located at 66 Yufeng street, Yuchi village.
The main food crops in Yuchi town are rice, corn and potatoes; the main animal husbandry is raising pigs, beef cattle, rabbits and poultry; the main industry is cement and building materials. History of construction
In the 14th year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1381), Nanbin county was removed and put under the jurisdiction of Shi Si Xuanfu.
In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Jiujia of shiquli; in the late Qing Dynasty, it set up a fish pond regiment.
In 1930, Yuchi town was established. In 1940, Yuchi town was changed into Yuchi township.
In June 1953, Yuchi township was divided into Yuchi Township and Baijiang township.
In December 1956, Baijiang township was merged into Yuchi township.
In September 1958, Yuchi township was changed into Yuchi commune.
In November 1983, Yuchi commune was changed into Yuchi township.
In July 2001, Yuchi township was changed from township to town.
