Pulian Town, subordinate to Wuxi County of Chongqing, is located in the southeast of Wuxi County, adjacent to Longxi town of Wushan County in the East, Yanwan township of Fengjie County in the south, Shangxun town in the West and Fengling town in the north. It is 30 kilometers away from the residence of Wuxi County Government, with a total area of 45.06 square kilometers.
In the Qing Dynasty, Pulian town was one of the top ten towns in yangqiaoli; in 2015, Pulian township was changed from township to town. By the end of 2018, the population of Pu Lian town registered residence was 14077. As of June 2020, Pulian town has one community and nine administrative villages, and the town people's government is located in Tanjiaping.

History of construction
Pulian town is named after pulianpo, which looks like a lotus.
In Qing Dynasty, it belonged to the top ten in Yangqiao.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it was Tan's hometown in the third district.
In March 1953, it was separated from Tan's hometown and established two townships, Pulian and Tongyuan.
In April 1954, Tongyuan township was merged into Pulian township.
In August 1958, Pulian township was changed into Pulian commune.
In May 1984, Pulian commune was changed into Pulian township.
In 2015, Pulian township was changed from township to town.
