Jinsheng Township, subordinate to Zhongxian County, Chongqing, is located in the northeast of Zhongxian County, bordering Ruxi town in the East and south, Xingfeng Township in the West and zizhao Township in Liangping in the north. It is 45 kilometers away from Zhongxian County Government, with a total area of 37 square kilometers.
In the late Qing Dynasty, Jinsheng township was under the jurisdiction of Ruxi township; in March 1983, it was changed from Jinsheng commune to Jinsheng township. By the end of 2018, the population of Jinsheng Township registered residence was 15072. As of June 2020, Jinsheng rural area has jurisdiction over 2 communities and 4 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is stationed at No. 34 of Jinsheng field.

History of construction
In the late Qing Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of Ruxi township.
In 1931, Jinsheng township was established.
