Maguan Town, subordinate to Zhongxian County, Chongqing City, is located in the northwest of Zhongxian County, bordering Yongfeng town in the East, Bashan town in the south, Huaqiao town in the West and Jinji town in the north. It is 53 kilometers away from Zhongxian County Government, with a total area of 114 square kilometers.
In 1911, Maguan town was the hometown of Maguan; in July 1992, Maguan town and Daoguan town were merged into Maguan town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in Ma Guan town was 47843. As of June 2020, Maguan town has 4 communities and 16 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the people's Government of Maguan town is stationed at No. 19, Maguan community.

History of construction
In 1911, Ma's hometown was established.
In 1931, Ma's hometown was divided into four townships: Huanglong, Daoguan, Jinji and Gaodong. In 1935, Majia, Daoguan and Gaodong were merged into Taiji Lianbao. In 1940, Taiji Lianbao was changed to Gaodong township. In 1941, Maguan township was established from Gaodong township.
In 1958, Maguan township was changed into Maguan commune.
In 1984, Maguan commune was changed into Maguan township.
In July 1992, Maguan Township and Daoguan Township merged into Maguan town.
On March 2, 2006, Gaodong Township and Huangqin Township were merged into Maguan town.
