Historical evolution
In June 1949, on the eve of the birth of new China, the CPC Yichang County Bridge Border Committee was established, which was called the Ninth District Committee of Yichang county. It was under the leadership of the CPC Yichang County Committee, and its organ was stationed in mujiadian, then moved to the bridge side. In May 1956, the 11th district of the Communist Party of China was merged into the Sixth District of Yichang county
meeting. In October 1958, the CPC Committee of daqiaobian people's commune in Yichang county was established. In April 1961, the organizational system of the district was restored, and it was renamed the Qiaoqiao Border Region Committee and the Qiaoqiao Border Region Office of Yichang county. In October 1975, the district system was abolished and the CPC Qiaobian people's commune Committee and the Qiaobian people's commune Revolutionary Committee were established. In February 1984, the CPC bridge Border Region Committee and the bridge border region office were established. The town is close to Yichang City and the Three Gorges dam area, 10 kilometers away from the central urban area, 10 kilometers away from the Gezhouba hydropower project, 20 kilometers away from the Three Gorges Dam, and only 30 kilometers away from the Geheyan Hydropower Project of the Qingjiang River. The construction of Yiqiao road and the dam turning Road on the right bank of the Three Gorges has started. In terms of waterway, Xinping road connects 323 provincial road and pingshanba wharf directly into the natural water transportation line of the Yangtze River. In terms of aviation, the Three Gorges Airport is only about 50 km away from the town. Therefore, 323 provincial highway, Yichang Wanzhou railway and the Three Gorges Right Bank Dam turning highway will meet at the bridge side, forming a large traffic and circulation with the Three Gorges Airport and Yichang port, and jointly building a convenient traffic environment. The planning of Hubei Dianjun industrial park approved in March 2008 is in Qiaobian.
Village and town construction
The successful introduction of 150000 tons electrolytic aluminum project makes Qiaobian the most potential aluminum development base in the province. Huilong industrial district has attracted a number of enterprises to invest in factories. Gaonong science and technology company, a modern agricultural demonstration park representing the agricultural image of Yichang and even Eastern Chongqing and Western Hubei, has given full play to the leading role, cultivated and developed a large number of high-quality vegetables, high-quality fruits and high-quality medicinal materials, and accelerated the upgrading of the product structure of 12000 Mu pollution-free vegetable base and 25000 Mu citrus orchard in the town, with the vegetable output reaching 80000 tons and the citrus output reaching 40000 tons. (1) Huangjiapeng Village
In August 2002, huangjiapeng village and jianjiachong village of Qiaobian town were merged into huangjiapeng village, which is adjacent to pianyan village, Taiping Village, Lijiawan village, bawangdian village of Dianjun Street office and Fu'an village of Lianpeng township. The land area of the village is 4.48 square kilometers, with 14 villager groups. At the end of 2004, the village had 641 households, 2149 people, 1277 labors, and the average net income of farmers was 4115 yuan. Mainly vegetables, fruits, oil, animal husbandry, poultry and other planting and breeding industries.
(2) Lijiawan Village
In August 2002, Lijiawan village and Yuhuangge village of Qiaobian town were merged into Lijiawan village, which is adjacent to huangjiapeng village, Qiaobian village, baimaxi village, Changling village and Fu'an village of Lianpeng township. 323 provincial road passes through the territory. The total land area of the village is 5.25 square kilometers, including 57.1 hectares of arable land, with 19 villager groups. By the end of 2004, the village had 710 households, 2251 people, 1050 labors, and the average net income of farmers was 3910 yuan. There are mainly vegetables, fruits, oil, pig, chicken and other planting and breeding industries. Qiaobian chicken Association and Qiaobian pig production association are both located in the village. Among them, Qinglong brand Lin chicken has become a well-known brand in Yichang City, with 45000 broilers released in 2004.
(3) Qiaobian Village
The village is the seat of Qiaobian town. It is adjacent to Lijiawan village, Taiping Village, hanjiaba village and baimaxi village. 323 provincial road passes through the village. The land area of the village is 4.84 square kilometers, including 130.09 hectares of cultivated land. By the end of 2004, the village had 11 villager groups, 755 households, 2431 people, 1055 labor forces, and the average net income of farmers was 3960 yuan. (4) Baimaxi Village
In August 2002, baimaxi village and xianglingkou village of Qiaobian town were merged into baimaxi village, which is adjacent to Lijiawan village, Qiaobian village, hanjiaba village, Liulihe village, Changling village and Quanshui village of Lianpeng township. 323 provincial road passes through the territory. The total land area of the village is 5.46 square kilometers, including 140 hectares of cultivated land. By the end of 2004, the village had 16 villager groups, 611 households, 2014 people, 1227 labor forces, and the average net income of farmers was 3820 yuan. Mainly vegetables, grain, oil, pigs, poultry and other planting and breeding industries. Yichang Changjiang Aluminum Co., Ltd., with a total investment of 1.1 billion yuan and an annual output of 130000 tons of electrolytic aluminum, is located in gaolingpo, the village.
(5) Liulihe Village
In August 2002, Liulihe village and longjiachong village of Qiaobian town were merged into Liulihe Village (originally called ruonahe Village), which is surrounded by baimaxi village, hanjiaba village, shuangyankou village, Tucheng village, anzixi village and Quanshui village of Lianpeng township. 323 provincial road passes through the territory. The land area of the village is 9.67 square kilometers, including 211.6 hectares of cultivated land. At the end of 2004, there were 16 villager groups, 732 households, 2415 people and 1512 labors in the village. The average net income of farmers was 4010 yuan. (6) Shuangyankou Village
In August 2002, shuangyankou village and badoufang village of Qiaobian town were merged into shuangyankou village, which is adjacent to Liulihe village, hanjiaba village, tianwangsi village, zhujiaping village and hualishu village, Lijiaba village and Tucheng village of Tucheng township. The land area of the village is 10.2 square kilometers, including 202.4 hectares of cultivated land. By the end of 2004, the village had four villager groups, 410 households, 1889 people, 707 labor forces, and the average net income of farmers was 3100 yuan. Mainly vegetables, grain, oil, fruit, tea, pigs, poultry and other planting and breeding industries.
(7) Zhujiaping Village
In August 2002, zhujiaping village, luojiaxi Village (luojiaxi) and hanjiaping village of Qiaobian town were merged into zhujiaping village, which is adjacent to shangfengjian village, tianwangsi village, shuangyankou village, hualishu village, Gaoyan village of Tucheng Township and Sandouping town of Yiling District. The total land area of the village is 16.49 square kilometers, including 174.1 hectares of cultivated land. At the end of 2004, the village had 6 villager groups, 343 households, 1050 people, 466 labors, and the average net income of farmers was 2480 yuan. There are vegetable, grain, oil, fruit, tea, silkworm, pig, poultry and other planting and breeding industries.
