Jilong Town, subordinate to Fengdu County of Chongqing City, is located in the southeast of Fengdu County, bordering Dudu Township in the East, nantianhu town in the south, Lizi Township in the west, Longhe town and Wuping town in the north. It is 60 kilometers away from Fengdu county government, with a total area of 152.43 square kilometers.
In 1949, Jilong town was called Jilong township; in December 2010, Jilong township was removed from Jilong township to build Jilong town. By the end of 2018, the registered population of Jilong town was 12894. As of June 2020, Jilong town has one community, seven administrative villages and 14 groups of Fenglai community under the jurisdiction of the town people's government.
The main food crops in Jilong town are rice and corn; the main animal husbandry is raising pigs, beef cattle, goats and poultry.
