Heyan Town, belonging to Kaizhou District of Chongqing, is located in the northeast of Kaizhou District, connecting Wuxi County in the East, Yunyang County in the south, Tanjia town and Wenquan Town in the west, guanmian Township in the north, 55 kilometers away from the city of Kaizhou District, with a total area of 154 square kilometers.
At the end of the Qing Dynasty, Heyan town belonged to the donglimaxing mountain beetle; in September 1985, Heyan town was changed from Heyan township to Heyan town. As of June 2020, Heyan town has 3 communities and 12 administrative villages, and the people's Government of Heyan town is located in heyankou community.

History of construction
At the end of the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to the donglimaxing mountain beetle.
In 1930, it was named maxingshan township. In 1931, maxingshan township was established as Heyan township. In 1932, Heyan township was merged into maxingshan township. In 1935, it belonged to wentangjing joint protection.
In 1953, it belonged to Qingping township.
In 1958, Qingping township was changed into Qingping commune.
In July 1962, Heyan commune was established by Qingping commune.
In January 1983, Heyan commune was changed into Heyan township.
In September 1985, Heyan township was changed into Heyan town.
In October 1992, Ma's hometown was merged into Heyan town.
In August 2005, Yanshui township was merged into Heyan town.
