Shaoyun Town, subordinate to Tongliang District of Chongqing, is located in the northwest of Tongliang district. It is connected with Anju town in the East, Taiping Town and Lufeng town in the southeast, Xiaodu town in Tongnan District in the West and Weixin town in the north. It is 24 kilometers away from the residence of Tongliang District people's government, with a total area of 66.85 square kilometers.

History of construction
In the 60th year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (1721), Shaoyun town was one of the eight places led by Anju township.
After 1949, guanpi township was established.
In 1958, guanpi township was changed into guanpi commune.
In December 1961, guanpo commune was divided into guanpo commune and Shaoyun commune.
In July 1983, guanpo commune and Shaoyun commune were changed into guanpo Township and Shaoyun township.
In October 1989, Shaoyun and guanpo were merged to build Shaoyun town.
In July 2005, Zhonghe township was merged into Shaoyun town.
