Qitang town

QITANG Town, subordinate to Bishan District of Chongqing City, is located in the north of Bishan district. It is adjacent to the West foot of Jinyun in the East, Liutang Township in the south, Tongliang District in the West and Batang town in the north. It is 28 kilometers away from Bishan City, with a total area of 57 square kilometers.

In the late Qing Dynasty, Qitang town was changed from Datang township to Qitang town in December 1993. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of seven Tong town was 33323. As of June 2020, Qitang town has two communities and eight administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the town people's government is located at No. 105, Shixin street, Qixing.

History of construction

In the late Qing Dynasty, Qitang town was located in Datang township.

In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Datang Township Office was set up.

In April 1951, QITANG township was established.

In January 1953, Qitang Township set up a representative hometown.

In April 1956, Dai's hometown was merged into QITANG township.

In September 1958, QITANG township was changed into Qitang commune.

In February 1978, Yifeng commune was merged into Qitang commune.

In March 1980, Qitang commune established Yifeng commune.

In January 1984, it was changed from Qitang commune to QITANG township.

In December 1993, it was changed from QITANG township to Qitang town.

In December 2003, Yifeng township was merged into Qitang town.

In 1997, Qitang town had 13 administrative villages, including Jianshe, Jingjing, Xiguan, Chongxing, Yangxiu, Shipo, Xuetang, Xiaowan, sanbuti, Beizai, Longtan, Yinyang and Jiangjun.

By the end of 2011, Qitang town had jurisdiction over two communities, qixingju and jinfengju, eight administrative villages, including Jianshe, Sihe, sanbuti, Yangxiu, Jiangjun, Yandian, Xiguan and Yuejin, and five resident groups and 71 villager groups.

As of June 2020, Qitang town has jurisdiction over two communities and eight administrative villages: Jinfeng community, Qixing community, Jianshe village, Sihe village, Yangxiu village, Xiguan village, Jiangjun village, sanbuti village, Yandian village and Yuejin Village. The people's Government of Qitang town is located at No. 105, Shixin street, Qixing.

Qitang town is located in the hilly area at the West foot of Jinyun Mountain. The terrain is divided into four types: low mountain trough valley, deep foothill hill, shallow hill and wide valley, and gentle hill and wide valley. In the East, there are deep hills in the west, shallow hills in the south, and gentle hills and wide valley in the north.

Qitang town has a subtropical monsoon humid climate, with an average annual temperature of 18 ℃, an average annual sunshine hours of 1296 hours and an average annual precipitation of 1047 mm.

hydrology

The largest river in Qitang town is Bibei river. After flowing through Dalu street and Liutang, it flows into Liutang town through the Northeast fork estuary of Dashibao. After passing through the whole town, it flows into Wulong township near liaojiawan, Houwan, with a flow length of 11.5 km. Three tributaries flow into Bibei River, with a total length of 21.9 km.
