Chaoyang Bay Town, belonging to Weichang Manchu and Mongolian Autonomous County of Chengde City, Hebei Province, is located in the east of Weichang Manchu and Mongolian Autonomous County. It is adjacent to Yangjiawan Township in the East and Southeast, yaozhan Township in the south, Weichang Township in the southwest and West, Longtoushan Township and Qipanshan Township in the northwest, guangfayong Township and yutaihe Township in the north and Guojiawan Township in the northeast, covering an area of 182.71 square meters Fang kilometer, as of the end of 2018, registered residence of 21610 people.

In August 1945, it belonged to Chaoyang Bay District of Weichang County.
In October 1946, Chaoyang Bay Township was built.
In January 1947, it was assigned to Weibei County; in May of the same year, it was the residence of Weibei county government; in November of the same year, it was returned to Weichang County, Chaoyang Bay district.
In March 1950, it was renamed the fourth district.
In November 1956, five districts (guangfayong District) were merged.
In September 1958, red star commune was established.
In August 1961, red star commune was abolished and Chaoyang Bay commune was established.
In December 1983, the commune was abolished and Chaoyang Bay Township was rebuilt.
In May 1986, it was changed into chaoyangwan Manchu and Mongolian township.
In January 1996, six provinces were merged.
