Tiaodeng town

Tiaodeng Town, subordinate to Dadukou District of Chongqing, is located in the southwest of Dadukou District, adjacent to Jiansheng town in the East, facing Yudong street of Banan District and Luohuang town of Jiangjin district across the Yangtze River in the south, and bordering taojia town and Huayan Town of Jiulongpo District in the West and North. It is 15 kilometers away from Dadukou District government, with a total area of 49.68 square kilometers.

After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Tiaodeng town established the first grass-roots political power, named Tiaodeng Township Office; in December 1993, Tiaodeng town in Baxian county was established by the merger of baishatuo town and Tiaodeng township. By the end of 2018, the population of Dang Town registered residence was 26049. As of June 2020, Tiaodeng town has 4 communities and 15 administrative villages, and the town people's government is located at 67 Tiaodeng main street.

History of construction

During the reign of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty, the territory belonged to the sixth grade of Zhili in Baxian county.

After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), the first grassroots political power was established, named Tiaodeng Township Office.

In October 1951, the people's Government of Tiaodeng Township, Tongguanyi district was established.

In February 1952, Tiaodeng Township and Tongguanyi Township were divided into some districts to build baishatuo township.

In January 1956, baishatuo township was abolished, and its jurisdiction was divided into the original one.

In 1957, Tiaodeng Township senior cooperative was established.

In 1958, Tiaodeng Township senior cooperative was transformed into Tiaodeng commune.

From August 1966, Tiaodeng commune changed its name to Hongdeng commune.

In April 1984, Tiaodeng township of Ba County was restored.

In December 1993, baishatuo town and Tiaodeng Township merged to establish Tiaodeng town in Baxian county.

In March 1995, Tiaodeng town was assigned to Dadukou District.
