Nanjimen Street
Nanjimen street, belonging to Yuzhong District of Chongqing, is located in the southeast of Yuzhong District. It is connected with wanglongmen street in the East, the Yangtze River in the south, Caiyuanba street in the West and Qixinggang street in the north. It is 200 meters away from Yuzhong District government, with a total area of 0.53 square kilometers.
In the late Warring States period, nanjimen Street belonged to Jiangzhou County; on December 15, 1972, it was renamed from Changzheng road street to nanjimen street. In 2011, the population of the South Ji Men street registered residence was 44 thousand and 200. As of June 2020, nanjimen street has five communities under its jurisdiction, and its sub district office is located at 4-2 liangtingzi.
In 2011, the total financial revenue of nanjimen street was 170 million yuan, and the total retail sales of social consumer goods was 870 million yuan.
History of construction
In the late Warring States period, it belonged to Jiangzhou county.
In 487, it belonged to Dianjiang County.
In 561, the first year of Baoding in the Northern Dynasty and the Northern Zhou Dynasty, Dianjiang County was abolished and Baxian county was established.
In 1929, Chongqing was established as a city. In 1935, it was the third district of Chongqing.
In November 1955, the first district was renamed Shizhong District, belonging to it; in the same year, Wangye Shibao street was established.
In March 1958, Wangye Shibao street was renamed nanjimen street, and at the same time, Baoshan Temple Street was merged.
On September 20, 1958, most of jinmasi street and Zhongxing Road street were merged into nanjimen street.
In March 1960, nanjimen street was changed into nanjimen commune.
On July 14, 1962, nanjimen commune was transformed into nanjimen street.
On October 14, 1968, nanjimen street was renamed Changzheng road street.
On December 15, 1972, Changzheng road street was renamed nanjimen street.
In June 1987, chuqimen street was merged into nanjimen street.
After 1995, it belongs to Yuzhong District.

In 2011, nanjimen street has jurisdiction over six communities including liangtingzi, shibati, houci street, xiangshuiqiao, Jiefang West Road and Kaixuan Road, and 128 resident groups.
In early 2015, the post office Lane Community of wanglongmen street was put under the jurisdiction of nanjimen street; after the adjustment, nanjimen street has jurisdiction over seven communities, namely liangtingzi, shibati, houci street, xiangshuiqiao, Jiefang West Road, Kaixuan Road and post office lane.
