Tuncheng town
Tuncheng Town, belonging to Tunchang County, Hainan Province, is located in the middle of Tunchang County, connecting Qionghai City and Ding'an County in the East, Nankun town and Xichang town in the west, poxin town and Zhongjian farm in the south, Xinxing town and Chengmai County in the north. The land area is 184.8 square kilometers.

Historical evolution
In the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties, Tunchang town was originally inhabited by new recruits from xilido. They lived a life of slash and burn farming.
In 1725, Tuncheng town was built.
In the late Qing Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of huaiyitu, Xili Yidu, renzheng Township, Qiongshan county.
From 1917 to 1946, it was under the jurisdiction of Qiongshan county.
In 1946, the town was officially established, under the jurisdiction of the Sixth District of Qiongshan county.
In 1948, Xinmin county was established in Tunchang area. Tuncheng town was under the jurisdiction of the first district of Xinmin county.
In June 1950, Xinmin county government moved from kuituo village in Nankun to Tuncheng town.
In July 1952, Xinmin county was changed into Tunchang County, and Tunchang town became the seat of county government; in the same year, Tunchang city was changed into Tunchang town.
In December 1958, Tunchang County and Ding'an County were merged and renamed Dingchang County, and Tunchang town was changed into Dingchang town.
In May 1961, it was divided into counties and renamed Tunchang town.
In 2002, tunjiao Township and Datong Township were merged into Tunchang Town, and Tunchang town was renamed Tuncheng town.
