Boai street, belonging to Meilan District, Haikou City, Hainan Province, is located in the north of Meilan District, adjacent to Baisha street in the East, Haifu street in the south, Zhongshan street in the West and Haidian Street in the north. The maximum distance between East and West is 1.5 km, and the maximum distance between North and south is 2 km, with a total area of about 2.3 square kilometers.
In June 1955, Bo'ai street was established. In January 1962, it changed its name to Bo'ai commune. In November 1990, the Boai South Office was re established. On October 16, 2002, Zhendong district was abolished and Meilan District was established. Boai street was under the jurisdiction of Meilan District. At the end of 2011, the total population of Boai sub district was 46224, including 36840 urban permanent residents. As of June 2020, Boai street has jurisdiction over 7 communities, and its sub district office is located at 42 Tangbian Road, Zhenlong community.
