Qingyuan town is located in the middle of Yizhou District, Hechi City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is the seat of Yizhou district Party committee and Yizhou district government. It is the political, economic, cultural, educational and transportation center of Yizhou district.
Qingyuan town is located in the traffic hub of Guizhou and Guangxi. It is located in the north of Central Guangxi. National Highway 323, Yiliu expressway, Yihe expressway, Yijin first-class highway, Yixin first-class highway, Yiluo first-class highway and Guizhou Guangxi railway pass through the town. Historical evolution
Dingzhou county has been set up since the sixth year of Yuanding (111 BC) of Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty. Its history has been 2130 years. Its name has changed to Longgang, Longding, Longshui and Yishan. Qingyuan is the county seat. On September 9, 1993, Yishan county was abolished and Yizhou city was established, with Qingyuan town as the resident of municipal administration. In the past dynasties, there were counties, counties, prefectures, departments, roads, prefectures, districts (Civil League District, supervision district, supervision district), special districts, districts and cities in China. Qingyuan was also a resident hospital. Qingyuan was first named in the first year of Xuanhe in the Northern Song Dynasty (in 1119, Yizhou was promoted to Qingyuan Army), and it has a history of 900 years. At the end of Qing Dynasty, it was dulingli in Dongxiang. In 1913, it was established as an urban area. In 1933, Yongqing town and Weiyuan town were set up respectively. In 1958, Longtang township was included in the list. In 1990, Qingyuan town had jurisdiction over five neighborhood committees of liberation, construction, Republic, democracy and peace, and six village offices of Wenchang, Longjiang, Longtang, Yuancun, Silian and Shaling (later changed to villagers' autonomous Committee), 48 villagers' committees and 55 natural villages. In July 2002, community construction was carried out in the urban area, and 10 community residents committees including Jiefang, Heping, Wenchang, Longjiang, Longtang, Yuancun, Bailong, Jiangtou, Yanshan and Shaling were set up. On June 13, 2005, the administrative division of Qingyuan town was readjusted, and Taiping community in the former Taiping Township and Aishan community in Silan, Shanwan, Sanxing, Weicun, Xiawei and the former Aishan Township, pantang, yipan, Dongping, Su Village, liupo, Luoyan, Lingping, Chengzhang, Ma'an village in Liusanjie Township and Yemao, long village in Huaiyuan town were assigned to Qingyuan town.
By 2020, Qingyuan town has jurisdiction over 28 villages (communities), including 12 communities and 16 villages, with a total of 287 natural villages and 524 cooperatives (groups). Urban construction
As early as the Han Dynasty, Qingyuan town began to build an earth city with an area of 0.4 square kilometers. In the first year of Tang Tianbao (742), the earthen city wall was changed into a brick and stone wall. There were four gates in fifty-three steps on Thursday, which collapsed after five dynasties. In the 29th year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1396), on the basis of the original city, the city was built outside the east gate, and the urban area increased to 0.62 square kilometers. Yongle was rebuilt with six gates along the city. After that, it destroyed and prospered. In 1930, the battlements were demolished. In 1949, the East Gate Tower, the South Gate Tower and the west gate tower were demolished successively, leaving only the North Gate Tower and the four archways. In 1952, a section of the city wall on the north side of the original East Gate was demolished, and the market was built by filling the pond with soil. The foundation of the city was expanded into a new street, which is now the north section of Gonghe road. In 1968, beimenlou was demolished to build Heping primary school. At this point, the old city wall basically did not exist. In 1972, the two-story Drum Tower on Sipai building was demolished and rebuilt into a concrete and firebrick building. From the early days of liberation to the 1980s, the construction of the town continued to expand, and the urban area expanded from less than 1 square kilometer to 4 square kilometers during the period of the Republic of China.
