Dalian Township

Dalian township is composed of Dalian Island, Xiaolian island and more than 60 islands and reefs scattered nearby. It is located in the northwest of Haitan Island in Pingtan comprehensive experimental area. To the north is Dongluo archipelago in Changle District, to the East is maotouliao mountain in Suao Town, and to the south is Suao town.

Afforestation is more prominent, far and near the mountain has been green, forest coverage rate of 46.9%, ranking first in Pingtan County township. In 1995, there were 9 administrative villages and 22 natural villages. The township is located in Dongao village, Dalian Island, 17.5km away from the county seat.

In 2017, Dalian Township had an administrative area of 1270 hectares and a permanent population of 3096.

Historical evolution

In the first year of the Republic of China, it belonged to Dalin district. In the 26th year of the Republic of China, Dalian and Xiaolian set up a joint insurance system under the jurisdiction of the three regions. In the early days of the founding of the people's Republic of China, Dalian township was still established. In May 1951, Yuyu Township and Weidong Township were set up respectively, and Xiaolian township was added in May 1955, all under the jurisdiction of the three districts.

In March 1956, fishing restriction, Weidong and Xiaolian were merged into Dalian Township, which was under the jurisdiction of su'ao district. In April 1958, the district was withdrawn and merged with the township, and Dalian township was still set up. In August, the township was changed into a brigade, belonging to Pingtan County People's commune Pingyuan branch. Dalian people's commune was established in 1961. In September 1984, Dalian Township People's government was established.

Dalian township is dominated by fishing. At the beginning of 1980, the township had 207 fishing boats with a gross tonnage of 811 tons. In the open sea, Seine fishing is the main method, while in the inland sea, fixed net fishing is the main method. Shallow sea area is broad, can cultivate kelp, laver, clam and other shellfish algae.

The annual output value of fishery reaches 520000 yuan. After the 1980s, according to the production pattern of "combination of capture and breeding, consolidation of agriculture and development of processing industry", the comprehensive economic development was promoted. In particular, kelp, laver, clam based aquaculture developed rapidly and became the pillar industry of Dalian Township in the 1990s. In 1995, the total output of fishery reached 8990 tons and the output value reached 15.92 million yuan, accounting for 95% of the total industrial and agricultural output value of 16.76 million yuan.

Dalian island is located in the northwest of su'ao Town, Haitan Island, Pingtan, Southeast of Xiaolian Island, 7.85 km away from the nearest point of the mainland. It is named because of the flooding of the waterway and the training of the waves. It is 6.26 km long from east to west and 1.57 km wide from north to south.

Weiying mountain, the highest point, is 238.5 square kilometers above sea level. The rock line is 20.35 km long. It was developed in song and Yuan Dynasties. Now there are 16 natural villages in Dalian township. It mainly produces grouper, kelp, laver and clam. The forest coverage rate was 53.2%. Sweet potato, peanut, rice, etc. There are five reservoirs. There are shipbuilding, sawing, iron repair, rice mill and other factories and wood society, farms, nursery.

Haitan Strait is located in the north-south traffic hub, built a haven, simple road around the island. The passenger ships connect su'ao in Pingtan County and Panasonic in Changle district. The whole island looks like a dumbbell. The terrain is higher. Yueju mountain in the northeast, Weiying mountain in the Southeast (the highest, 238 meters), Niuzhi mountain in the northwest, Damaoshan in the middle, and Yuyu village at the foot of Niuzhi mountain are slightly lower. The only beach of relatively large scale on the island is also here. There is a tractor road on the island, from Yueju village in the northeast to Dongao village in the southwest and then to Yuyu village in the northwest. It is about 6 or 7 kilometers long and can be used by motorcycle.

Scenic spots on the island: 1. The reef area behind Yueju village in the northeast corner (with many strange rocks); 2. The beach behind Yuyu village in the northwest corner (about 3400 meters long, less than 100 meters wide, with a lot of garbage)

Recommended route: you can get off the boat in Dongao, walk about 4 kilometers from the tractor road to Yueju village, or walk around the foot of Weiying mountain to Yueju Village (the road is blocked after the high tide). Those who want to abuse themselves can go directly up the mountain to cross (the mountain is densely vegetated, and the local residents seldom go up the mountain, and there is no path, so they need to wear trousers, long sleeves and gloves). In the evening, I hire motorcycles from the moon to the fishing limit and spend the night on the beach. The next morning, I walked for half an hour back to Dong'ao, and took a boat from Dong'ao to su'ao town in Pingtan.

2、 From Fuzhou, you can take the bus from baihuting to Changle City, and then transfer to the minibus in Panasonic town (7 yuan). The minibus can go directly to the southernmost port of Matsushita town. From the passenger terminal here, you can take a boat to each island. If you go to Dongluo Island, you have to charter a boat here (200 yuan), because there is no passenger route through there. Before ten o'clock in the morning is the busy period of shipping. After ten o'clock, there will be a lot less passenger ships. Of course, we can't wait for a boat. We can also charter a small fishing boat. It takes an hour to get to Yutou Island, passing by jigiao island.

There are fewer flights in the afternoon. It's 10:1 a.m. and 1:1 p.m. (15 yuan) on Dalin island. It's about an hour and a half by way of Leyu, Changyu and Xiaolian. When you go to Dalian, you can choose to get off the boat in Yuyu village in the West or Dongao village where the township government is located. There is a boat before ten o'clock in the morning. There seems to be no flight between Lantou and Dalian. There is a boat in the morning from Dalian island to Dongao.

From Dongao in Dalin to Suao in Pingtan, there is a boat (6 yuan) every few minutes in the morning, but it is much less in the afternoon. The latest one is 4:30 in the afternoon. It's 4 yuan from su'ao town to Pingtan County, and 6 yuan from su'ao wharf.
