Shiling Town

Shiling Town, belonging to Tiedong District, Siping City, Jilin Province, is located in the southeast of Tiedong District, on both sides of national highway 303. It borders Longshan township of Gongzhuling City and Xiaogushan town of Yitong County in the East, Tiande town of Xifeng County in Liaoning Province in the south, Shanmen town and Yehe town in the west, and shijiabao town of Lishu County in the north. The area is 340 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, Shiling had 38612 registered residence.

In June 1946, Shiling village office and six police stations were set up. In March 1956, Yehe (District 12) was incorporated into Shiling district as the residence of Shiling district office. In February 1958, Shiling township was established. In May 1965, Shiling commune set up Shiling Town. As of June 2020, Shiling Town has 4 communities and 17 administrative villages.

Historical evolution

In the 34th year of Jiajing reign of Ming Dynasty (1564), it belonged to the state of Yehe.

In 1681, it gradually became a settlement.
