Yanshan town
Yanshan town is a town under the jurisdiction of Yanshan District, Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It faces Caoping Hui nationality township across the Lijiang River in the East, Dabu Township in the south, Liutang town and Huixian town in Lingui District of Guilin City in the west, zhemu town and Ertang Township in Xiangshan District of Guilin City in the north, and is 24 kilometers away from the downtown area of Guilin City in the North. There are Guiyang, Yongliang highway and Guiwu, Guilin Ring Expressway in the town. Guiyang highway runs through the town from north to south.
Yanshan town is the seat of the government of Yanshan district. It is designated as the southern satellite city of Guilin city. It has been listed as the key town for the construction of small towns in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Guilin city. It will be built into an ecological satellite city. Its development focuses on science and technology, education and tourism. Yanshan town is the center of Guilin University Town.
In 2017, Yanshan town has a total area of 98.49 square kilometers, 15 village committees and 54 natural villages, with a total population of 26502.
Evolution of organizational system
In Xia, Shang and Zhou dynasties, Yanshan was the residence of Baiyue people. Qin Shihuang set up Guilin, Xiang, Nanhai three counties, Han Yuan Ding six years (111 BC), set up Shi'an County here, under Jingzhou Lingling county.
In the Eastern Han Dynasty, it belonged to the state of Shi'an marquis.
During the Three Kingdoms period, it belonged to Shu first and then to Wu. In the first year of Ganlu (265), Shi'an county was established.
In Sui and Tang Dynasties, it belonged to the general manager's office of Guizhou in Lingnan.
In the fourth year of Tang Wude, it belonged to Shi'an County of Guizhou. Guanghua three years (900 years), belong to Jingjiang Festival.
In the Five Dynasties and ten states, it belonged to Chu and Guizhou in the Southern Han Dynasty.
In the Song Dynasty, it belonged to Guizhou in Guangnan West Road before and Jingjiang mansion after.
In Yuan Dynasty, it belonged to Jingjiang Road, xingzhongshu Province, Guangxi.
During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it belonged to Guilin Prefecture of Guangxi Province.
In 1913, Yanshan district was divided into Guilin county.
In 1940, there were six townships in Taisha, zhemu, dongfuguo, southwest Fuguo, Sanhe and beifuguo of Guilin.
In 1950, the eastern, Western and northern suburbs were set up.
In 1954, the three districts were merged into suburbs.
It was renamed suburb in 1955.
In 1984, the suburbs were re established.
Before the adjustment of administrative division at the end of 1996, the suburb of Guilin was located around the city.
On December 2, 1996, with the approval of the State Council, the suburb of Guilin city was renamed as Yanshan District, and the administrative division of Guilin city was adjusted accordingly. Qingfeng Village in Dahe Township and Chuanshan Township, the former suburb, was put under the jurisdiction of Diecai District. Jiashan Township, the former suburb, was put under the jurisdiction of Xiufeng District. The two villages of Ertang Township, Tongxin and Pingshan in zhemu town and Anxin village in Chuanshan Township were put under the jurisdiction of Xiangshan district.

Liangfeng River, the main river in the territory, originates from vanilla rock in southern mountain township of Lingui County, flows into Liutang of Lingui County, and flows into zhemu town and Lijiang River through Sanli, Dongli, chajiang, Wutang, Yuntang, Mojia, Zhuyuan, Guoyuan and Liangfeng villages. The average discharge of Liangfeng river is 3.47 m3 / s, the groundwater reserve is 900000 square meters, most of which can be exploited as drinking water. There are 76 reservoirs in Liangfeng River, with a total storage capacity of 2.73 million square meters. The main water diversion project is Huangjin dam, the effective irrigation area of the town is 594 hectares, and the main flood discharge project is Dayan flood discharge. mineral resources include limestone, laterite, shale clay, river sand, pyrite, hemanganese, etc.

The town has established the largest pollution-free vegetable production base of ten thousand mu and potted flower seedling production base of one hundred mu in Guilin, planted 13329 mu of high-quality fruit trees such as oranges, pears and peaches, and cultivated 4110 mu of aquatic products.
