Agriculture
Qianzhan town is a coastal agricultural town. After the reform and opening up, due to the different terrain and resource conditions, and according to the local characteristics of mountainous area, plain and coastal areas, the advantages of Qianzhan town were brought into full play. Grain and fruit cultivation and aquaculture were vigorously developed, and the agricultural economy increased greatly. Fishery is the main advantage of the development of the town. There are six administrative villages (goushu, Chiao, Shidou, Qianzhan, Dounan, gangliao) in the town with marine fishing operations. Before 1979, because the coastal beach was flat and there was no harbor, only more than 300 small horsepower machines were used to row boats and carry out shallow water operations, marine fishing was greatly restricted. In the early 1990s, coastal wasteland and mariculture were developed. According to the comprehensive inventory in 2005, the total mariculture area of the town is 2632.46 mu, which is distributed in the coastal area of 14.5 km and 300 meters above the intertidal zone. There are 38 breeding farms, 52 abalone farms, 133 shrimp and crab ponds, 9 fish ponds, and 38 seafood shops. Among them, there are two large-scale abalone farms (Jiaxin abalone farm and Dahong farm) with an investment of more than 25 million yuan, with an annual output of about 100 tons of abalone and a total output value of about 17 million yuan. In 2006, the fishery output value of the whole town was 54.51 million yuan.
The northwest part of the town is mountainous and hilly, with a total of 7 administrative villages (guhang, Xinxiang, Lianxi, xiushuili, Xinpi, zhantian, Shijun). 32000 mountains are used to develop wasteland and grow fruits. In 1997, Chen Yunqiang, a farmer in the town, founded guhang comprehensive planting base in guhang village, covering an area of 3800 mu, developing 500 mu of mountain fruit planting, building 4 pig houses of 1260 square meters, with a pig stock of about 2000 and an annual output of about 4000 pigs. By the end of 2006, there will be 5345 mu of fruit in the mountainous area of the town, with an annual output of 860 tons of fruit.
There are seven administrative villages in the central plain, namely Xipu, XianMei, tadou, Mingxi, Mingdong, houliao and Shidou. Food, vegetables and fresh water farming are the main. In 2006, the town's grain planting area was 38644 mu, with a yield of 336 kg per unit area and a total yield of 12969 tons, of which rice planting area was 12044 mu, with a yield of 380 kg per unit area and a total yield of 4577 tons.
Industry
The industrial base is weak and the development is slow. By 2006, there were 92 production units, 544 employees, and the total industrial output value was 66.82 million yuan, mainly serving agriculture and fishery production, mainly including net weaving, shipbuilding, repair, stone processing, by-product processing and aquatic products processing.
