Puzhai town of Fengshun County borders on baxiang mountain of Fengshun County in the north, Nanshan Town and Liangtian town in the west, jingxiyuan town in the south, 32 kilometers away from the county seat. It is the main channel from Chaoshan Plain to mountainous area in the West. Wujingfu town covers a total area of 168.6 square kilometers. In 2012, it has jurisdiction over 26 villages, 2 communities and 91 natural villages. The total number of households in the town is 14950, and the registered residence population is 56 thousand. There are 46200 overseas Chinese and compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. The local dialect is Hakka.
Wujingfu town was listed as one of the central towns in Guangdong Province in 2002. Wujingfu is a traditional agricultural town with sausage, honey, bitter bamboo shoots, tea, sweet potato and pickles as its special products. In 2012, the total output value of industry and agriculture was 1.216 billion yuan, the national tax revenue was 2.7387 million yuan, the local tax revenue was 2.8847 million yuan, and the per capita net income was 7359 yuan.
Historical evolution
The origin of the name
It is said that in 1358, the ancestor of the Zeng family, Qixi (named Hongji), moved here from wuhuahekou. Five shops were set up near today's bus station to make iron. At first, it was named wujianpu. Later, due to its superior geographical location, rapid population development, and strong school running atmosphere, the "Five Classics" of Confucianism was very rich, so the "five shop" was changed to "Five Classics".
Evolution of organizational system
Qing Dynasty belongs to Lantian capital. During the period of the Republic of China, it was the third district of Jieyang county. Longjiang township was established in May 1949 and later changed into Xinlong district. In February 1950, NANLIAN district and Xinlong District merged into Nanlong district. In 1956, Wujingfu district was established. Wujingfu people's commune was established in 1958. In March 1965, jingxiyuan people's commune was demolished. In October 1976, Dayang people's commune was demolished. It was renamed Wujingfu District in 1983 and Wujingfu town since 1986. On December 30, 2003, Dayang township was abolished and merged into Wujingfu town.

Wujingfu town is located in the northeast of Jiexi County. It is the junction of two cities (Jieyang City and Meizhou City), two counties and one district (Jiedong District, Jiexi County and Fengshun County). It borders Longwei town and Puzhai town in Fengshun County in the East, baxiangshan mountain in Fengshun County in the North, Nanshan Town and Liangtian Township in the west, and jingxiyuan town in the south. It is 32 kilometers away from the county. It is the main channel from the Chaoshan Plain to the mountainous area in the West. The town covers an area of 168.6 square kilometers.

Wujingfu town has 6 hydropower stations (Jianyi hydropower station, Longzhu hydropower station, Longshan hydropower station, Longtan Hydropower Station, chuantianwang hydropower station and Dayang Hydropower Station), with a total installed capacity of 28100 kW and an annual power generation of 60.12 million kwh. The famous Longjing reservoir (upper and lower reservoirs) in Shantou area is built in the upper reaches of Longjiang River, with a storage capacity of 190 million cubic meters. Longjing upper and lower reservoir hydropower stations are collectively called Longjing hydropower station, with an installed capacity of 18600 kilowatts, which is a large hydropower station in Shantou area. Shangku power station is an underground power station.

The main mineral resources in Wujingfu town are tungsten and rare earth, especially rare earth. In 1985, it took the lead in mining rare earth and established Fuchang Rare Earth Smelter.
