Wanfeng forest farm is located in the northwest of Chaoan District, Chaozhou City, Guangdong Province, with complex terrain, warm and humid climate and fertile soil. The forest coverage rate is 95%, the planting rate is 98.9%, the greening rate is 95%, and the volume of standing trees is 50000 cubic meters. The unique geographical, climatic and environmental conditions provide favorable material basis for the growth, breeding and reproduction of rich animals and plants. According to the preliminary investigation, there are about 1281 species of wild vascular plants in the area, including 12 species of rare and endangered plants under national key protection, such as Taxus chinensis var. mairei, cycadium fern, Alsophila spinulosa, 225 species of terrestrial vertebrates, including 34 species of wild animals under national key protection, such as clouded leopard and pangolin. It is a rare natural ecological landscape and biological gene bank in Chaoshan area.

It has jurisdiction over four natural villages, namely jianshanjiao, Shuitou lake, Tieluping and huangzhuwo. The villagers are mainly named LAN. The total area of the village is 625.5 mu, including 185 mu of cultivated land, 162 people and 38 households.

Wangjingping Village: located in the central and southern part of the forest farm, it is connected with zengcuo village in the East, Tieluping village in the southwest and dongguaping village in the north. It has jurisdiction over two natural villages of wangjingping team 1 and wangjingping team 2. The villagers are mainly named LAN. The total area of the village is 849 mu, including 246 mu of cultivated land, 242 people and 56 households.

Zengcuo Village: located in the southeast of the forest farm, it is connected with Guihu town in the southeast, wangjingping village in the southwest and dongguaping village in the north. It has jurisdiction over four natural villages: zengcuo, broomhill, Kengkou and dongkenglau. The villagers are mainly Chen and Zeng. The total area of the village is 1113 mu, including 167 mu of arable land, with a total population of 138 and 37 households.

Dongguaping Village: located in the east of the forest farm, it is connected with zengcuo village in the southeast, wangjingping village in the South and Jingzi village in the northwest. It has jurisdiction over a natural village in dongguaping, with the villagers mainly surnamed Wei, Wei and Wen. The total area of the village is 1425 mu, including 172 mu of cultivated land, 159 people and 43 households.

Jingzi Village: it is located in the middle of the forest farm, connecting dongguaping village in the southeast and Tieluping village in the southwest. It governs three natural villages: bat rock, liujiao and Jingzi. The total area of the village is 1416 mu, including 175 mu of cultivated land, 151 people and 32 households.

Geographical features

Fenghuang mountain range is a NE-SW trending mountain range in eastern Guangdong. The forest farm is located on the south slope of Fenghuang niaoji, the main peak of Fenghuang mountain. It is surrounded by three Zhongshan mountains, with steep peaks and steep walls. Most of them are Zhongshan terrain, with an altitude of more than 800m. Generally, the hillside is more than 40 ° above sea level. The terrain of the area inclines from north to south, and the middle mountain, low mountain, hill and valley are crisscrossed. The altitude of huangzhuwo is 250m at the lowest, and fenghuangniaoji is 1497.3m at the highest, with a relative height difference of 1247.3m.

The forest farm is the birthplace of Hanjiang River Basin. The main river in the forest area is bat stream, which is formed by the confluence of Chikeng and Jinhu. The former originates from fenghuangniaoji, while the latter originates from Jinhu on the east side of fenghuangniaoji. They all flow from north to south. After the confluence of bat rock, they are called bat stream, and finally flow into Hanjiang River, which is the primary tributary of Hanjiang River. The main source of river water is rainwater, so its hydrological characteristics are as follows: the flow is obvious seasonalization, the flow increases sharply in rainy season, and the water level rises; the flow decreases greatly in dry season, and the water level drops, but the flow does not change all the year round
