Tieyong town
Tieyong Town, belonging to Huidong County, Huizhou City, Guangdong Province, is located in the hinterland of Renping Peninsula, bordering kaozhouyang in the East, Jilong in the northeast, Pinghai ancient city in the South and Xunliao coastal tourist resort in the West. It is the "hometown of potatoes" in Huizhou City, and kaozhouyang in the inland sea. It is famous for raising high-quality oysters. Tieyong town covers an area of 116 square kilometers, with 29000 mu of arable land and 15000 mu of mariculture. In October 2019, Tieyong governs 19 villages and 1 community. In 2018, there were 44216 registered residence in tie Chung.
Tieyong town has been awarded the honorary titles of "Guangdong scientific and technological innovation potato town", "Guangdong livable town", "Guangdong civilized town", "Guangdong education strong town", "Guangdong ecological town", "Guangdong leisure agriculture and rural tourism demonstration town" and so on.
In 2008, the gross output value of Tieyong town was 698 million yuan, an increase of 14% over 2007; the gross agricultural output value was 380 million yuan, and the gross industrial output value was 318 million yuan, an increase of 6% and 18.3% respectively over 2007; the per capita income in rural areas was 5837 yuan, an increase of 10%; and the fiscal revenue was 7.2 million yuan, an increase of 20%.
Historical evolution
From the Southern Song Dynasty, people moved in one after another, and Tieyong gradually became a market in the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty.
In 1965, Huidong County, Renshan commune from the establishment of Tieyong commune.
In 1983, Tieyong was changed into a district.
In 1987, Tieyong was changed into a town.

dialect
There are three main dialects in Tieyong: Zhanmi dialect (local dialect), Fulao dialect (Minnan dialect) and Hakka dialect. 60% of the residents speak Zhanmi dialect. Its Jianmi dialect is different from Huizhou dialect in that it combines Minnan and Hakka languages.
name
According to textual research, the southern part of Tieyong town was originally a river zone with underground iron deposits, so it was named Tieyong.
Tieyong Jianmi folk song
Tieyong Jianmi folk songs are popular in Huiyang, Huidong and Haifeng, especially in Ximei village, Tieyong Town, Huidong County. People in Ximei village love to sing folk songs. The folk songs sung in Jianmi dialect are called "Jianmi folk songs". The "Jianmi dialect" in Ximei village is a Hakka dialect. There is no fixed lyrics and music score. The villagers laugh and scold each other. It has a history of more than 300 years and has rich folk materials. In December 2018, Tieyong Jianmi folk song was listed in Huizhou intangible cultural heritage municipal project.

Ximei village is the fourth batch of Chinese traditional villages, located in the southeast of Tieyong Town, is an ancient village with a history of more than 400 years. Fang's genealogy in Ximei village records the history of the village's construction. The ancestor of Fang's surname came from Gushi, Guangzhou, Henan Province. He was an official during Xuanzong's reign in Tang Dynasty, and there were many famous people in his family. It was not until the 13th generation when he crossed the mountains and settled in Ximei that he had been able to reproduce for 18 generations.
Ximei village has many well preserved ancient residential buildings. There are nearly 30 ancient residential buildings in the village, such as Hezhong south block and Hezhong North block. Most of the ancient residential buildings are hard hilltops, integrating the architectural styles of Chaoshan and Hakka. The more famous ones are ancient residential buildings, Hezhong south block, Hezhong North block, Deji residential buildings, ancient bridges and ancient wells. Ximei village has also won a series of titles such as "Huizhou ecological demonstration village", "Huizhou top ten most beautiful forest homeland", "Guangdong new rural construction demonstration site", "Guangdong famous village demonstration village", "Guangdong ancient village", "China rural tourism model village".
