Dali town is located in the east of Nanhai District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province, adjacent to Liwan District and Baiyun District of Guangzhou City in the East and Chancheng District of Foshan City in the south. The origin of the name
Dali town was called "Qingfeng city" in the early days. During the reign of emperor Zong of Tang Dynasty, "ten talents of Dali" appeared. There are also a number of capable people in the local area. They use the name of "ten talents of Dali" to describe the large number of local talents, and gradually use "Dali" to refer to "Qingfeng city". In the reign of Emperor Daoguang of Qing Dynasty, the word "Dali" was changed into "Dali" in the annals of Nanhai. At the beginning of the Republic of China, the county journal also changed the word "Dali" into "Dali". Since then, "Dali" has been used to this day.
Division evolution
