Lugang town

Lugang town is located in the southeast of Chaonan District, Shantou City, Guangdong Province, at the junction of Chaoyang District and Chaonan district. It borders Heping Town of Chaoyang District in the East, Xiashan street in the north, Liangying town in the West and Chengtian town in the south. National Highway 324, provincial highway and Hui highway and Chensha highway pass through the territory. The town has a total area of 50.24 square kilometers (in 2017), a cultivated area of 22447 Mu and a mountainous area of 26935 mu. It has jurisdiction over 15 Village (neighborhood) committees and a total population of 149491 people (in 2017). It is a famous hometown of overseas Chinese.

Lugang Town Industrial Park in Chaonan district is located in the south of National Highway 324 (Guangshan highway). The original planning area is 300 mu. National Highway 324 passes through the northeast corner of the town and enters Heping Town, Chaoyang District.
