Xiantang town
Xiantang Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Hengnan County, Hengyang City, Hunan Province, is located in the north of Hengyang City, downstream of Leishui river. It borders Dapu town of Hengdong County in the East, Quanxi town in the south, chashanao town of Zhuhui District in the West and Zhangmu township of Hengyang County in the north, with an administrative area of 52 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the population of the registered residence in the town was 22255.
In December 2000, Xiantang town was established by separating 15 villages and 3 residents' committees from Quanxi town. In November 2006, Wangjiang and Maoping villages in Xiantang town were assigned to Yanhu Township, Zhuhui District, Hengyang City. As of June 2020, Xiantang town has two communities and eight administrative villages.
In 2011, the total financial revenue of Xiantang town was 11.739 million yuan, an increase of 12% over the previous year. The local general budget revenue was 10.9 million yuan, an increase of 11% over the previous year. Business tax was 1.5 million yuan, value-added tax was 800000 yuan, enterprise income tax was 150000 yuan, and individual income tax was 1 million yuan, an increase of 11%, 5%, 8% and 11% respectively over the previous year. Fiscal expenditure was 11.53 million yuan, an increase of 14% over the previous year. In 2018, there were 37 industrial enterprises in Xiantang Town, including 3 above scale and 7 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In October 1949, it was subordinate to the Second District of Hengyang County.
In 1952, it belongs to Quanxi District of Hengnan County.
In May 1956, Xiantang township was established.
In 1958, it was changed into red star people's commune.
In 1959, it was subordinate to Quanxi people's commune.
In May 1961, Xiantang people's commune was established from Quanxi people's commune.
In 1984, it was changed to Xiantang township.
In November 1993, Xiantang township was abolished and Xiantang town was established.
In April 1995, it was incorporated into Quanxi town.

At the end of 2011, Xiantang town had three communities: chilongqiao, Shuikoushan and ligouzui, and 13 administrative villages: Huajiang, Ouyang, Xiantang, Changtang, gutuo, Tonggang, Gaoqiao, Zhengjia, chaichong, Dayan, Nanshan, Baiyun and Nanchong.
As of June 2020, Xiantang town has two communities: Shuikoushan community and wugongqiao community, eight administrative villages: Huajiang village, Ouyang village, Xiantang village, Tonggang village, Gaoqiao village, chaichong village, Yunshan village and Nanchong village, and the people's Government of Xiantang town is stationed in baiyitang group of Huajiang village.
