Xiancun Town

Xiancun Town is a town under the jurisdiction of Zengcheng District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, located in the south of the district. The town has made some achievements in economic construction, municipal construction, grass-roots work and other aspects.

In July 2020, the National Patriotic Health Association decided to name Xiancun as a national health township for the period of 2017-2019.

Evolution of organizational system

In the Jin Dynasty, when there was a severe drought, qigehong Xianweng traveled here to practice rainfall, so it was named Xiancun.

Xiancun commune was established in 1958, changed to a district in 1983 and established as a town in 1986.

In 2004, Zengcheng District implemented the adjustment of administrative divisions at the town level. Xintang Town was under the jurisdiction of Xintang, Yonghe, Xiancun (except frigang Village), Shapu and Ningxi. The original Xiancun Town and frightening Gang Village belong to Shitan town.

In 2012, according to the approval of the Guangdong provincial Civil Affairs Department on the approval of the addition of the town of immortal village and the Yongning Subdistrict Office in Yuecheng district (No. 32), the Xintang town was divided into three administrative divisions, namely Xintang Town, Xian Village town and Yongning subdistrict office. Among them, 128 thousand were the registered residence population in Xintang Town, 45 thousand and 600 were registered residence in the immortal Village town. The 2012 towns in the town were located in the city of Xintang. The decision of the Standing Committee of Zengcheng District People's Congress on the restoration of Xiancun Town People's Congress (adopted at the 16th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 14th Zengcheng people's Congress on October 11, 2012) will include Xiancun first community, Xiancun second community, Xiaji village, Shajiao village, Shenyong village, shizijiao village, Shatou village, Xinan village, Shangjing village and Xiajing village in Xintang Town Xiangtou village, Xianlian village, Zhuyuan village, Chaoshan village, Lanshan village, Jigang village, Shajiao village, Bitan village and Yuehu village are designated as Xiancun Town.

Xiancun Town is located in the south of Zengcheng District of Guangzhou City, 15 kilometers away from the center of Zengcheng district. The town has a total area of 56.65 square kilometers and a total population of 48132 (2017).

economic construction

In 2002, the total industrial and agricultural output value of the town was 1.940 billion yuan, an increase of 11% over the previous year. Among them, the total industrial output value was 1.728 billion yuan, an increase of 12%; the total agricultural output value was 212 million yuan, an increase of 5%. The annual tax revenue was 32.74 million yuan, an increase of 21.6%; the fiscal revenue was 15 million yuan, basically balanced. At the end of the year, the household savings deposit was 640 million yuan.

Industry

The annual grain planting area is 26440 mu, including 3410 mu of corn, 252 kg / mu, with a total yield of 859 tons; 12000 mu of rice, 397 kg / mu, with a total yield of 4763 tons; 14882 mu of fruit, 33058 mu of vegetables; 17184 pigs and 784900 pigeons. Politics

According to the reply of Guangdong Provincial Department of Civil Affairs on Approving the addition of Xiancun Town and Yongning sub district office in Zengcheng district (Yue min Qu [2012] No. 32) and the application of CPC Xiancun Town Party Committee on restoring Xiancun Town People's Congress, the 16th meeting of the 14th Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee decided to restore Xiancun Town People's Congress and postpone the 14th Xiancun Town People's Congress according to law Congress.

The fourth paragraph of Article 11 of the electoral law of the National People's Congress and local people's congresses of the people's Republic of China stipulates: "the base number of Deputies of townships, nationality townships and towns is 40, and one more deputy may be added for every 1500 people, but the total number of deputies shall not exceed 160." Article 13 stipulates: "after the total number of deputies to local people's congresses at various levels has been determined, it shall not be changed. If the population changes greatly due to changes in administrative divisions or major construction projects, the total number of deputies to the people's Congress at the corresponding level shall be determined again. " According to the above provisions, the number of deputies to the people's Congress of Xintang Town was re determined to be 125, and that of Xiancun Town was determined to be 71.

Municipal Construction

In 2002, Xiancun Avenue was reconstructed with a total length of 1700 meters and changed into two-way six lane; land acquisition and engineering construction of Guangyuan East Road extension, Guanghui Expressway and Xianning highway were completed; 13.7 km of hard bottom construction of village road was completed. More than 600000 yuan has been invested in the revision of urban planning. According to the requirements of urbanization, a new urban area of 20 square kilometers has been scientifically planned in advance.

The mayor of Xiancun Town made arrangements for the key economic and social projects of Xiancun Town in 2017. It is reported that the key construction projects of Xiancun Town in 2017 include the construction project of Xiancun citizen square, the road reconstruction project of Shatou crossing Guangzhou Shenzhen railway bridge and extension line, the construction of Central Primary School, and the work of attracting investment.

Environmental governance

In 2002, the town government strengthened environmental improvement and made great efforts to improve the investment environment of Xiancun. Grassroots work

We will fully carry forward democracy, act in strict accordance with the law, complete the second election of village level organizations, and properly handle the Chaoshan incident. In the general election, the participation rate was 99.6%, and the average age of the members of the new "two committees" was one year and two years lower than that of the previous one respectively. We should strengthen the financial management of village level organizations and implement the village account and town management system. We will further improve the open system of rural government affairs, actively promote the work of changing fees into taxes in rural areas, effectively reduce the burden of farmers, stabilize rural society, and make steady progress in rural work.
