SHUITIANBA town is located in the northeast border of Longshan County. It is adjacent to shanghexi Township, Sangzhi County, Zhangjiajie City in the East, Yongshun County in the south, ciyantang town in the west, and Daan Township in the north. It is 39 kilometers east of the county, and is known as the "East Gate" of Longshan. It governs 15 administrative villages (communities) including SHUITIANBA community, Mengbi community, Xiabi, Yandong, Fengping, Zhongwan, Xihu, Renhe, Liyuan, Feifei, Xingta, Shuanglian, cheta, chelaping and Hongqi, 126 villager groups with 9674 people (2017). It covers an area of 192.51 square kilometers (2017), including 17895 mu of cultivated land and 168790 mu of forest land. The territory has beautiful mountains and rivers, and the southeast is not covered with overlapping mountains and rocks. The Qifeng mountain is beautiful, and the northwest is deep with gullies and streams. The highest peak, Laoya, is located in Mengbi Dajie, with an altitude of 1320 meters. The territory is rich in coal, zinc, magnesium and other minerals, rich in wood, tobacco, tung oil, tea, medicinal materials and other local products. It mainly produces agriculture and forestry, rice, corn, sweet potato, potato, pine and fir. There are 1 junior high school and 5 primary schools.
Evolution of organizational system
Shuitian town of Longshan County: on January 6, 2016, Mengbi Township and SHUITIANBA Township were incorporated into an organic system to establish SHUITIANBA town. < br > SHUITIANBA township is located 37 kilometers east of the county, with Sangzhi County in the East, Mengbi town in the south, ciyantang town and Da'an Town in the west, and Wuya town in the north. During the period of the Republic of China, it was named Shangchen township. In early 1950, it crossed four small townships: Shuitian, Zhongwan, Renhe and Xiabi. In 1958, it was established as SHUITIANBA commune. In 1980, it was renamed as SHUITIANBA commune because it had the same name as other townships in the prefecture. In 1984, it was withdrawn to restore the township.

The traffic is convenient in the territory. S305 (SangLong highway) passes through the territory and is the main traffic road of SHUITIANBA town. Climatic characteristics
It has four distinct seasons, rainy and hot in spring and summer, dry and low temperature in autumn and winter. It is a subtropical humid climate zone, with an annual average temperature of 17.5 ℃, the highest temperature of 36 ℃, and the lowest temperature of - 9.3 ℃. The average annual rainfall is 1512.4 mm, and the frost free period is about 250 days, which is suitable for high and stable yield of spring crops.

Mineral resources
The territory is rich in mineral resources, including bituminous coal, lead-zinc mine, lead earth mine, pyrite, limonite, sulfur mine, stone coal mine, limestone, calcite, etc. Among them, bituminous coal resources are the most prominent, with reserves of more than 2 million tons, mainly distributed in Mengbi community and chelaping village.

primary industry
There are 1076 hectares of cultivated land in SHUITIANBA Town, including 511 hectares of paddy field, 565 hectares of dry soil and 17934 hectares of mountain forest. The main economic income of the town residents comes from migrant workers and breeding industry. The pillar industries are flue-cured tobacco and animal husbandry, with 3700 mu of flue-cured tobacco. In 2017, more than 820000 Jin of tobacco leaves were purchased, achieving an economic income of more than 13 million yuan. The breeding industry is mainly composed of chickens, ducks, pigs, cattle and sheep. Among them, black goat breeding has begun to take shape. A professional cooperative of black goat farmers has been established, which has driven more than 100 farmers to raise more than 10000 sheep. Three standardized steel structure demonstration farms have been built, and more than 5000 sheep are sold annually.
The main food crops are rice, corn, potato and so on. Among the economic crops, the pepper planting area of the whole town has reached 1000 mu, the sweet corn planting area has reached 120 mu, and the first phase of Guanyinshan Camellia oleifera base in Zhongwan village plans to plant 1000 mu, and 400 mu has been completed.
