Historical evolution
Jingna township was originally called JINGNUO
Ba, translated as "the top dam" in Dai language, was under the jurisdiction of Xuanwei Prefecture of Pu'er before liberation. It was under the jurisdiction of Liushun (now Cuiyun township of Simao City). There was a chieftain. Now the old yamen Village group of wanjiaoshan village committee was the seat of the local government at that time, and the name of the village came from it. After liberation to 1953, it was under the jurisdiction of Liushun County, known as JINGNUO district (the Fifth District); from 1953 to 1958, it was under the jurisdiction of Banna Mengyang, with JINGNUO office set up; in June 1958, JINGNUO district was officially established from Mengyang, and in 1984, it was removed from the district to build a township, and renamed Jingna township.

In 2008, the rice planting area of the township was 150.22 million mu, and the total grain output was 4.34 million kg. There were 3152 large livestock in the township, and 682 were sold. Jingna township has a land area of 670.84 square kilometers, fertile land, 25400 mu of arable land, including 15100 mu of paddy field. Folk customs
Most of the permanent residents in Jingna township are Dai people, and the traditional culture and folk customs are mainly Dai culture. Dazhai Buddhist temple is the only temple in Jingna Township, and it is also a relatively large temple in four towns in Jiangbei of Jinghong City so far. Every year, April 15-17 is the new year of the people - "Water Splashing Festival". Every year, June 15 of the lunar calendar is the "closing day" and September 15 of the lunar calendar is the "opening day". During this period, Dai people can't marry. The Yi people have special feelings for fire. The 24th of June in the lunar calendar is the "Yi family festival" - commonly known as "Torch Festival".
