Historical evolution
Lixi town is located in a remote area of Ningyuan, and its information is relatively closed. People in Lixi town have a vague understanding of the history of Lixi, especially from the Ming Dynasty to the Republic of China. Since 2007, the rise of the Internet in the local, Lixi town from the Ming Dynasty to the liberation of the history is gradually known by the world. The history of Lixi town from Ming Dynasty to liberation is as follows:
the ming dynasty
In Ming Dynasty, Ningyuan had 12 townships, including Donghe Township, Dayang Township, Nanxiang Township, Yongle Township, Xianzheng Township, BEIXIANG Township, Xixiang Township, Taiping Township, Guangji Township, Renze Township, Dangui Township, Zhonghe Township, etc. Lixi town is under the jurisdiction of Donghe township (see Dongxiang of Qing Dynasty for the specific scope).
Qing Dynasty
In the Qing Dynasty, Ningyuan set up ten townships and thirty-three Li, including Dongxiang, Xixiang, Zhonghe, Dayang, Yongle, Xianzheng, Taiping, Guangji, Renze and Dangui townships. Two townships, Nanxiang and BEIXIANG, were allocated to xintianjian County in the 22nd year of Chongzhen reign of the Ming Dynasty. In the Qing Dynasty, Lixi town was under the jurisdiction of Dongxiang. The jurisdiction of Dongxiang included lishiwan in the south, Qiyang boundary in the north, Xintian County in the west, baijiaping and qingshuiqiao in the West. Dongxiang covers hundreds of square kilometers, similar to the jurisdiction of the Ming Dynasty, but in the Ming Dynasty, when Xintian County was built, some areas of Ningyuan Dongxiang were ceded to Xintian. For example, the battle of Xintian Castle belongs to Ningyuan in Ming Dynasty. It is located on daguanling in urban and rural areas of Baiwan and Yongan. It can also be called Ningyuan daguanling. Ningyuan Dongxiang is Lixi Town, and the township government is in Yong'an.
The Republic of China
In the Republic of China, Lixi town was in turmoil, especially in Yangmingshan, where there was a peasant uprising all the time. In order to suppress the peasant uprising army of Zhou Wenbu in Yangmingshan, the national government set up Yangming county. Part of Lixi town was regionalized to Yangming County, and Kangji township was set up, which was subordinate to Yangming county After the success of the peasant uprising army, it was established for less than five years, and it was abolished in 1931. Ningyuan still returned to Ningyuan. Later, Yongan and Shixi townships were set up. Shixi Township now has jurisdiction over most areas of shijiadong Township and Lixi Township after liberation. For example, sanyuanling, Tongjia, guitou and other areas of Lixi Township belong to Shixi Township in the Republic of China, which was also managed by shijiadong at that time. According to Ningyuan county annals of the Republic of China, Shixi township has a population of more than 9600 people, with more than 1200 families There are 5400 people in Jiadong Township and 17000 people in Lixi township. According to the total population of Ningyuan County in the period of the Republic of China, there were 440000 people in 2008, and 830000 people in 2008. Then we calculate according to 60% of the previous population. It turns out that there are 5400 people in shijiadong Township, x0.6 = 3240 people. If there are 9000 people in Lixi Township from Shixi Township, we need to make up 6360 people for shijiadong. Then we calculate the population of Lixi Township in the Republic of China, 17000 people, x0.6 = 10200 people, 6360 / 10200 = 0.62, that is 62%. Most of the population of Lixi Township and shijiadong Township formed Shixi Township in the Republic of China. [Note: shijiadong township has a total area of 68574 mu, cultivated land of 3765 Mu and a population of 5437. It has jurisdiction over eight administrative villages, including shijiadong, Xinwu, xiangcundong, yangguiping, xibian, shangdongpu, zushankou and Chenjiawan, and 21 natural villages. The Township People's government is located in shijiadong Laowu village, 51 kilometers away from the county seat. Lixi township: 13568 mu of cultivated land, with a population of more than 17000. It has jurisdiction over 19 administrative villages and 76 natural villages, including Lixi, zhaitouling, Dashitou, youmashi, Xiazhuang, guitou, Lvjia, Gejia, sanyuanling, Dongshanling, Shantian, shangtangjia, dafangdong, luojiayuan, fengmushan, leijiayuan, Xujia, dajingbian and Lijiashan. The Township People's government is located in Lixi village, 48 kilometers away from the county. From 1946 to 1949, Yong'an Township and Shixi Township merged into Shi'an township. Shi'an township is Lixi town (Lixi town in the Republic of China). The township government is in Yong'an, except for baiwancheng and huangtang Yao township. It is composed of shijiadong Township, Yong'an Township and Lixi Township after liberation. At that time, the head of Shi'an township was also Shi youqiu from shijiadong. Shi'an township was the predecessor of Lixi town in Ningyuan after liberation. After liberation in 1950, it became Lixi district on the basis of Shi'an township. Until 1995, it became Lixi town. After liberation, Lixi was divided into five townships: baiwancheng, Yong'an Township, Lixi Township, shijiadong Township and huangtang Yao township. Shijiadong and Yong'an have represented the whole Lixi town of Dongxiang for hundreds of years.
After liberation
In November 1949, the county was temporarily divided into four districts. The Fourth District governs Chongling, Shi'an and Longfeng.
In August 1950, the county was divided into 8 administrative districts and 90 townships, including 13 townships, including shijiadong, Xitang, etc.

In 1984, Lixi district was divided into five townships: baiwancheng Township, Yong'an Township, Lixi Township, shijiadong Township and huangtang Yao township.
In 1995, when Lixi district was withdrawn from the district and built into a town, it was composed of Lixi Township, Yong'an Township and bowan township. Shijiadong township was under the jurisdiction of huangtang Yao township.
Lixi town still uses the place name of residence. The people's Government of Lixi town is located in Lixi village, 48 kilometers away from Ningyuan county.
