Muzhai street, belonging to Lintong District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the southeast of Lintong city. The origin of place names
It is wrongly said that the ruins of the ancient castle in the north of the village were the camp where the female general Mu Guiying defended and stationed troops in the Song Dynasty.
History of construction
In the 26th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1900), it belonged to gubeili.
In 1934, it was the sixth, eighth and ninth year of ma'e insurance.
After 1949, it was a part of the sixth and eighth townships of ma'e district. In September 1958, it belonged to Muzhai management area of ma'e commune.
In April 1961, Dongyue and Muzhai were merged to form Dongcai commune.
In 1962, five brigades were set up in the north of Dongyue commune, and a new Muzhai commune was set up, with jurisdiction over five brigades and 26 natural villages.
In April 1984, Muzhai commune was changed into Muzhai Township and Dongyue commune into Dongyue township.
In February 2002, Dongyue township was merged with Muzhai township to establish Muzhai Township, which governs 14 villages.
In December 2011, it was changed to Muzhai street.
