Jiangshui town
Jiangshui township is located in the southwest of Yizhang County, 30 kilometers away from the county. It is adjacent to Meitian Township in the East, Changcun Township and Yingchun Township in the south, Tongyi Township and Fenshi Township in Linwu County in the west, and Matian Township in the north. Jiangshui is one of the sources of kangshui, which is named after the Qiongjiang spring under the golden rooster. It belonged to Yongfu Township in Ming Dynasty and early Qing Dynasty, Baisha regiment in Xianfeng Period of Qing Dynasty (1851-1861) and early Republic of China. It belonged to the Second District in the 24th year of the Republic of China. It belonged to Baixiu Township on July 10th, the 27th year of the Republic of China, and Baisha district (also known as the Second District) in 1950. In June 1956, when the district was withdrawn and the township was built, it was called Jiangshui Township, and it was located in Jiangshui village. It was incorporated into Meitian people's commune in October 1958. In March 1961, it was transferred from Meitian commune to establish Jiangshui people's commune. In September 1966, it was renamed Lixin people's commune. In January 1981, it was renamed Jiangshui people's commune. In March 1984, it was changed into a township.
geographical environment
The territory of Jiangshui is mostly mountainous and hilly, and the terrain fluctuates greatly. The river is a tributary of Beijiang River, Wushui river flows from north to south through the three administrative villages of GUIYAO, Xialuo and xincheping, and enters the lechangqujiang river.
Education and health
The township has one school, one central kindergarten, 10 village primary schools, with 86 teaching staff; one private school, two private kindergartens, with 18 teaching staff. One township health center with 18 medical staff and 18 village clinics. In 2012, 20344 people participated in the new rural cooperative medical system, with a participation rate of 98%. In 2011, 10627 people participated in the new rural old-age insurance, with the participation rate of 86.42%; meanwhile, 2156 people were issued with old-age insurance cards for the elderly over 60 years old. In 2011, there were 54 urban and rural minimum living security households with 62 people, 469 rural minimum living security households with 663 people, 88 rural five security households with 92 people, 26 social security personnel and 32 preferential care objects. There is a nursing home for the elderly, which can support 50 elderly people with five guarantees. There are 1 rural comprehensive cultural station, 4 village level cultural activity centers, 15 rural libraries, 1 radio and TV station, and more than 1800 cable TV users.

With convenient transportation, Yifeng Expressway and provincial highway s324 run through the countryside. The territory is rich in forest resources, rich in bamboo, fir, rich in coal resources. The Township People's government is located in Shuikou village. It has 15 villager committees and 155 villager groups with a total population of 22458 (2017), including Jiangshui, Shuikou, pianxi, Luoge, shanshushan, Xinhua, wentangao, dadiling, shangyuanyuan, Maoli, Suoshi, GUIYAO, Xialuo, xincheping and Tatang. The birth rate is 10 ‰ and the natural growth rate is 7 ‰. The total area under the jurisdiction is 129700 mu of forest land and 15034 mu of cultivated land, including 10236 mu of paddy field and 4798 mu of dry soil. Jiangshui Village: located in the middle of Jiangshui Township, it is connected with Shuikou village in the East, wentangao village in the south, shangyuanyuan village in the West and Maoli village in the north. The total area under the jurisdiction is 9.3 square kilometers, including 2175 mu of cultivated land. It has 14 natural villages and 17 villager groups, including Jiangshui, tianlanmen, gaoquanyuan, gaoanlangshang, wufengtou, xialingwo, malichong, yangliuchong, lishuwo, jielongqiao, manguninu, banshuxia, luojiatang, qiaocatang, with a total population of 2614 and 636 households. Shuikou Village: located in the middle of Jiangshui Township, it is adjacent to pianxi village in the East, shanshushan village in the south, Jiangshui village in the West and Mulao village in Meitian town in the north. The total area under the jurisdiction is 7.9 square kilometers, including 1700 mu of cultivated land. It has 12 natural villages and 11 villager groups, including zhuyuanchong, shanxiachong, niujiaoshan, matouxi, jinpenchong, mazitang, yangmeichong, Niantang, AIChE, caojia, jianlingbei and shibanbei, with a total population of 2000 and 476 households.
