Changpuzi Miao and Dong Township, located in Suining County, Shaoyang City, Hunan Province, was merged into changpuzi Miao and Dong Township in January 2016.

Changpuzi Miao and Dong Township embraces Suining County, which governs 29 villages, 314 villager groups and 35988 people (in 2017), inhabiting Miao, Han, Dong, man, Li, Yao, Zhuang and other ethnic groups, and the minority population accounts for 86%. Changpuzi Miao and Dong township was merged into changpuzi Miao and Dong Township in January 2016. The township has a total area of 551.06 square kilometers (2017), including more than 560000 mu of woodland and 31000 mu of arable land. The territory is rich in water energy and forest resources. The forest coverage rate is 76%, the volume of standing trees is more than 2.74 million cubic meters, and the area of Phyllostachys pubescens is more than 18000 mu.
