Niaojiang town is located 21 kilometers east of Qidong County. It is adjacent to hengnanmao town in the East, Guiyang town and Liangshi town in the south, Qiyang town in the West and Jinqiao town in the north. At the beginning of liberation, niaojiang belonged to Guiyang district. Niaojiang township was established in 1952. After the cancellation of Guiyang District in May 1995, 10 villages of former Dingzi Township were merged into niaojiang and a new niaojiang town was established.
