Jilong Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Hengnan County, Hengyang City, Hunan Province, is located in the west of Hengnan County, bordering Quanhu town in the East, Baihepu town in Qidong County in the south, Hongqiao Town in Qidong County in the West and Yantou town in Hengyang County in the north, with an administrative area of 107.64 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of chicken cage town was 48312.
In 1961, the chicken cage commune was established. In May 1984, the township system was restored and changed to Jilong town. In 1995, Yongxing Township and Qishan Township were merged into Jilong town. As of June 2020, Jilong town has jurisdiction over 2 communities and 16 administrative villages.

In October 1949, it belonged to 13 districts of Hengyang County.
In 1952, it was assigned to Hengnan County.
In 1961, the chicken cage commune was established.

As of June 2020, Jilong town has two communities: Maqiao community and xiaoyitang community, and 16 administrative villages: Jilong village, ChiYan village, Zhongshan village, Huashan village, Yongxing Village, Rizhao village, Dengta village, Changkang village, Shiyan village, quankou village, Dajiang village, Chishan village, Tuanji village, fangchong village, Qishan village and Zhonghua village. The town people's government is stationed in Jilong village.
