Qulan town
Qulan Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Hengyang County, Hengyang City, Hunan Province, is located in the northwest of Hengyang County, bordering Hongshi town in the East, Daan Township in the south, Jinlan town in the southwest, Huamen town and Shiniu Township in Shuangfeng County, Loudi City in the northwest, with an administrative area of 117.9 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, 52934 households in Qu Lan town had registered residence.
In October 1949, it belonged to the seventh district of Hengyang County. In July 1952, it belongs to the Tenth District. In September 1958, it belonged to Xingxing and Liaoyuan people's communes. In November 1961, qulan commune was set up under Hongshi district. In May 1995, Gaohan Township and Tongzi Township were merged into qulan township. In December of the same year, the township was removed and the town was built. As of June 2020, qulan town has jurisdiction over 2 communities and 22 administrative villages.
In 2011, the total financial revenue of qulan town was 4.4 million yuan, an increase of 4% over the previous year. The general budget revenue was 2.2 million yuan, an increase of 6% over the previous year. From the perspective of major taxes, business tax is 185000 yuan and personal income tax is 108000 yuan. History of construction
During the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Chong'an town.
In 1913, Chuanshan township was established.
In 1939, it belonged to Xiangxi and Chuanshan.
In October 1949, it belonged to the seventh district of Hengyang County.
In July 1952, it belongs to the Tenth District.
In September 1958, it belonged to Xingxing and Liaoyuan people's communes.
In November 1961, qulan commune was set up under Hongshi district.
In May 1995, Gaohan Township and Tongzi Township were merged into qulan township. In December of the same year, the township was removed and the town was built.

History and culture
It is said that there was once a pavilion in qulan town. The plaque on the lintel of the pavilion was engraved with the words "listen to the music" and "watch the orchid".

Wang Chuanshan's former residence, Xiangxi thatched cottage, is a provincial key cultural relic protection unit, a provincial patriotism education base, a famous tourism village with special features, and a three-star rural tourism area. Located in Xiangxi village, qulan town. Xiangxi thatched cottage was built in 1675. It was originally a thatched cottage with three rooms. It is the architectural style of Xiangnan folk houses with a building area of 240 square meters. It was renovated three times in 1981, 1990 and 2002. Many of Wang Chuanshan's important works were completed here. The main scenic spots are Xiangxi thatched cottage, shichuanshan, bamboo garden and Chuanshan tomb. In 2011, it received 105600 tourists.
