Hongshi Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Hengyang County, Hengyang City, Hunan Province, is located in the northwest of Hengyang County, bordering Sanhu town in the East, Chang'an Township in the southeast, Lanlong Township in the south, Da'an Township in the southwest, qulan town in the west, Shiniu Township in Shuangfeng County, Loudi City in the north, with an administrative area of 112.99 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Hong town was 60264.

In July 1952, it belongs to the ninth district. In September 1958, it belonged to Hongwei and Liaoyuan communes. In April 1984, it was built in hongluomiao town. In May 1995, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged, and the name was changed to Hongshi town. As of June 2020, Hongshi town has one community and 23 administrative villages.

In 2011, the total financial revenue of Hongshi town was 10.38 million yuan, an increase of 12% over the previous year. Among them, the general budget revenue was 7 million yuan, an increase of 13% over the previous year. History of construction

In 1942, it belonged to Fu'an township.

In October 1949, it belonged to the seventh district of Hengyang County.
