Hydrological resources
Shuxi and Yangxi are two main rivers in the town. Shuxi runs through the whole town from east to west. It is the largest river in the town. It originates from Jiulong Mountain, with a total length of 40 km and an average annual flow of 6.01 m3 / s. it flows into Yuan river through shuxikou. The Shuxi river is a center of human settlement and grain production, with gentle water flow, wide river bed, many rice fields on both sides of the river, and many villagers living near mountains and rivers. Yangxi and Shuxi originate from Bamianshan in parallel, with a total length of 32 kilometers. The annual average flow is 1.9 cubic meters per second, which flows into Yuanshui river through yangxikou. In the upstream, tianjiaping reservoir, the first medium-sized reservoir built in 1965, is located in the county. Agricultural water conservancy infrastructure is complete. By 2005, there are 1 medium-sized reservoir, 1 small-sized reservoir, 7 small-sized reservoirs, 58 backbone ponds, 33 electric drainage, with a total water storage of 20 million cubic meters, a total water lifting of 500000 cubic meters, and a total irrigation area of more than 20000 mu. The construction quantity of water conservancy facilities in the town ranks the first in the county. The major projects include tianjiaping reservoir, Huashu dike, changing the sandy beach into good farmland in Huashu dike, flood control dike in yongpingji Town, etc.
Traffic construction
The town has been an important traffic road since ancient times and a part of the ancient post road in Yunnan and Guizhou. National Highway 319 and Changji Expressway pass through the territory, and provincial highway 223 and national highway 319 meet at Sanjiaoping. National Highway 319 goes northwest to Luxi and Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture, and provincial highway 223 goes West to Chenxi and Huaihua. There are two main Township highways, one from Jinhua mountain to shuxikou, which runs westward along Yangxi River and crosses 319 National Highway, with a total length of 18 km and runs through 4 villages. The other is from Yongping to Shau Kei Wan Town, along Shuxi westbound to national highway 319, with a total length of 16 km. There are also four simple village roads: Yongping to sitongxi, Yongping to lowlu, Yongping to Jiulongshan, yinhuashan to meizishan. The town has been connected to roads from village to village.
National Highway 319 and Changji Expressway pass through the territory, with 13 kilometers of provincial and national highways. The cement pavement hardening of Shau Yong highway and Wu Jin highway has been completed in the town, and the subgrade reconstruction of Wu Shu highway has been fully completed. The township road of the town is 34 kilometers, and the simple road is more than 50 kilometers. There are 19 administrative villages (community neighborhood committees) in the town.
There are two transportation hub centers in the town. One is the residence of the town. There are more than 30 shuttle buses to Yuanling County every day, and the other to Luxi County every 10 minutes. Another Triangle Ping, is to Xiangxi or Huaihua past transfer center. Because of its special geographical location and convenient traffic conditions, the market is very prosperous. There are Shau Kei Wan and Yong Ping markets with an annual turnover of more than 30 million yuan. Shau Kei Wan farmers' market is the most popular. Located at the border of Yuanling, Chenxi and Luxi counties, shaujiwan farmers' market is characterized by fast transportation, dense population and rich products. It has become the central market at the junction of the three counties and the largest fairground in Yuanling County. During the period of the Republic of China, the custom of going to the market in this area was very prosperous. There were three or eight periods, with more than ten thousand people each. The custom of going to the market has been extended up to now, and now it is in the period of 2 or 7. There are more than 20000 people on the market day, but there are more than 30000-40000 people on holidays. In the early years, the market gradually expanded to other fields, such as industry, construction equipment, daily necessities, farm tools and machinery, with the exchange of agricultural and sideline products, local products and specialty products, and gradually evolved into a large comprehensive commodity market with an annual turnover of more than 20 million.
