Yuelu Street

Yuelu street belongs to Yuelu District, Changsha City, Hunan Province. It is named after Yuelu Mountain, the last peak of 72 peaks of Hengshan Mountain, a national scenic spot. It is adjacent to Xiangjiang River in the East, Yuelu Mountain in the west, yanghuyuan ecological park in the south, Yanghu street in the south, Yuelu Academy in the north and Orange Island street in the north. Lushan South Road and Jinjiang road run through the East and West, and the second ring road and Xiaoxiang Avenue connect the north and south.

Yuelu street has a total area of 23.31 square kilometers and a total population of 81367 (2010). It has five administrative villages, including zuojialong, taohualing, Wuxing, Huanghe and Jinjiang, and eight neighborhood committees, including pipatang, Kexue village, yunluyuan, Jinqiao, Lushan South Road, taohuaping, Yangguang and Lufeng.

Evolution of organizational system

Yuelu street was formerly Yuelu Mountain Township in the suburb of Changsha City. In 1956, it belonged to Yuenan Township and Yuebei township. In 1958, it was changed into Yuelushan commune. In 1970, it was assigned to the West District of Changsha City, in 1973, it was assigned to the suburbs, and in 1984, it was assigned to Yuelushan township. In 1996, the city's administrative division was adjusted, and Yuelushan township was included in Yuelu District. In 1998, it was rebuilt into Yuelu street.

It extends to four "Xiangqiao Jiayuan" in Huanghe community in the East, five in Huanghe community in the South (the Tucheng intersection of Fengshun road is under construction), east of buildings 1-3 in phase III of Yangguang 100 in the west, and central distribution station intersection of Central South University New Campus in Houhu road in the North. Lushan South Road community

It is located in the main road of Lushan South Road, at the foot of the beautiful Yuelu Mountain. Sunshine Community

Covering an area of 988 mu, the area extends to Mayuan road in the East, West 2nd Ring Road in the west, Fengshun road in the north, and south 2nd Ring Road in the south. It is the eighth community established by Yuelu street.
