Liu Guoju town is subordinate to Jia County, Yulin City, Shaanxi Province. Located in the northeast of Jiaxian County, on the edge of Maowusu Desert, it borders on Wanzhen town of Shenmu city across Tuwei River in the East, zhujiadi town in the southeast, wangjiabian town in the south, shanggaozhai town in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 17.25 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 15.5 kilometers, with a total area of 132 square kilometers.

Historical evolution
It is said that during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty (1522-1566), Liu Guoju built a village here.

In 1949, it belonged to chehui district and set up baijiapu township.
In July 1952, it was transferred to nine districts (Liu Guoju).
In October 1958, Liu Guoju commune was established, with 33 production teams under its jurisdiction.
In July 1984, it was changed to Liu Guoju township.
On June 28, 2015, Shaanxi Province adjusted the township administrative divisions, abolished shanggaozhai Township and liuguoju Township, and merged liuguoju town.
