Liangwu township is located in the west of Lichuan City, 108 ° 45 '- 108 ° 52' east longitude and 30 ° 13 '- 30 ° 19' north latitude. hualiling Catholic Church is located in lizicao, Huali Township, Liangwu District, 16 km away from Lichuan City. Huali ridge Catholic Church is surrounded by green trees and quiet environment. The time of its establishment is unknown. Foreign missionaries from France, Belgium, Italy and the Netherlands came here to preach. Because of the collusion between the foreign missionaries and the illegal religious people, they bullied the land and property, and tried to get rich and kill the people in Lichuan. In the 24th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu, they set off a "Lichuan religious case" which shocked the Qing government and burned down the church in hualiling. The Qing government sent heavy troops to suppress the struggle against foreign religions, and compensated the church for silver. In the 26th year of Guangxu, the church was rebuilt. Emperor Guangxu inscribed a plaque with his own handwriting: "the Catholic Church was built by imperial edict.". the existing churches are divided into male and female churches. Located 100 meters southeast of the men's hall, the women's hall is a cross long wooden courtyard. It is 68 meters long from north to South and 25.5 meters wide from east to west.
