Mafan town
Mafan town is located 29 kilometers southwest of Guangshan County, Xinyang City, Henan Province. It is a shallow hilly area. It is a national key town, one of the top ten famous towns in the province, a provincial health town, a famous town in Zhongzhou, and a pilot town of administrative system reform for economically developed towns in Henan Province. The town covers an area of 100.21 square kilometers (2017) and has a population of 44393 (2017), with an urbanization rate of 61%. The town has convenient transportation, extending in all directions. Provincial highway s338 and S217 cross the border, and Manan road and mayin road meet here.
Historical evolution
The historical territory of mafan town is changeable. Spring and autumn and Warring States period is the place of Xian (state) and Chu (state). In Qin Dynasty, it was located in the northeast of Hengshan County and the northwest of Jiujiang county. In Han Dynasty, it belonged to Jian County of Jiangxia county (Le'an county was set up in Song Dynasty). In southern and Northern Dynasties and Sui Dynasty, it belonged to Ma'an county (mafan town). There are few records in Ancient Local Chronicles. It is difficult to research, so we can only infer the history of mafan town according to its mountains and rivers or scenic spots. For example, "Sui Shu Vol. 31 · Zhi No. 26 · geography II" contains: Le'an: Liang set song'an county and song'an, Guangcheng two counties. There are also Fengan County, kaihuang three years and abandoned into Yan. There are geyang mountain, Fuguang mountain, Jinshan mountain and Xishan Mountain. And tomorrow's "Jiajing Guangshan County annals" also contains: Xishan: there are holes in the mountain, often producing tin, hence the name. Le'an
There is Xishan. The scope of maliqiaobao mentioned in the draft of Guangshan County annals is in the middle and south of today's mafan town. Mafan street and talgang street were under the jurisdiction of maliqiaobao at that time. Today, wangtudian street in the north of mafan town belongs to gaoxu temple in gaomoli. In Tang Dynasty, it belonged to Xianju County (tianbaoyuanzai changed its name from Le'an county to Xianju County). In song, yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, it belonged to Guangshan County. In modern times, in the early years of the Republic of China, Guangshan County government still followed the old system of the Qing Dynasty. Under the county level, there were four levels: Li, Bao, Jia and Pai. Guangshan had a total jurisdiction of 30 Li. At that time, most of the jurisdiction of mafan town was under the jurisdiction of maliqiaobao in changtanli and Gaoxu Temple Bao in gaomoli. In 1924, in order to "encircle and suppress" the Red Army, the Kuomintang government carried out the Baojia system, dividing the original 30 li of Guangshan County into eight districts, with 501 Baojia, a total of 6506 Jiajia. Mafan town is under the jurisdiction of District 7 of Guangshan County (including Suhe Town, nanxiangdian Township, yinpeng Township, Mafan Town, Changxing village and Luochen township). In the autumn of 1933, the population of District 7 was 12462, including 44183 males and 32137 females. During the period of the Republic of China, markets in mafan town included wangtudianji, which belonged to gaoxu temple, talgangji, which belonged to maliqiaobao, and yimafan Ji, which belonged to maliqiaobao. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, it was changed into Mafan district. In 1962, it was withdrawn from the district and set up mafan commune. In 1983, it was changed into a township. In 1995, it was set up as a town. Mafan town is a red land. In 1924, the first party group in Guangshan County, Liulinhe Party group, was born in Liulin village. During the war of liberation, Wang Zhen led 359 brigades to garrison in Wangyao, Xishan village to resist the enemy. the town area is 100.21 square kilometers (2017), including 6.4 square kilometers of town area, 63045 mu of cultivated land, 32805 mu of mountain forest and 6540 mu of water area. The town has 13 administrative villages and 3 communities, with a population of 44393 (in 2017), with an urbanization rate of 61%. It has 4 villager groups, 5 resident groups and 4592 people. There are 36 party members and 5 village cadres with a per capita income of 8500 yuan. Nanjie community is adjacent to the seat of the government of Mafan Town, covering an area of 1.5 square kilometers. It borders on the south of Xingzheng road in the north, zouyao of mafan village in the west, zhangxiaowan of Daiwa community in the East, and nanmafan Bay of mafan village in the south. There are 4 villager groups, 1 resident group and 4121 people in the community. The cultivated land area is 60 mu. There are 3 members of the two committees and 15 party members. The main industries are handicraft industry, processing industry and service industry. Daiwa community is located one kilometer east of Mafan Town, adjacent to wangfan village in the East, Miaoshan village in the south, the town in the west, xuzhai village and zhouwan village in Luochen Township in the north. The community has 14 villager groups, 686 households and 2786 people, covering a total area of 5.78 square kilometers, including 1980 mu of cultivated land, 5800 mu of forest land and 5200 yuan of per capita income. There are 4 members and 46 party members in the "two committees" of Daiwa community. Mafan village is located in the middle of Mafan Town, close to the town government, adjacent to Daiwa community in the East, Miaoshan village in the south, Luoshan County in the West and Xishan village in the north. Provincial highway 338 and mayin Road pass through the village. The area of cultivated land is about 4000 mu, the area of mountains and hills is 3800 mu, which governs 22 villager groups and 2616 people. There are 4 members of the two committees and 33 members of the CPC. The pillar industries of the village are mainly planting, construction and labor export. Miaoshan village is located in the south of Mafan Town, bordering yinpeng Township, Luoshan County in the west, Liulin village in the East, and 3km away from the town government. It covers 1450 mu of cultivated land, 12000 mu of mountain forest and 500 mu of water area. It governs 15 villager groups and 1868 people. Miaoshan village has three collective forest farms, and the main industries are fruit income and labor export. Xishan village is located in the west of Mafan Town, adjacent to YANGCHONG village, zhoudang Town, Luoshan County, Taiping Village in the north, mafan village in the south, and North and South communities of mafan street in the East. It has a total area of 9 square kilometers, 15000 mu of forest land, 3000 mu of water area, and 3108 mu of cultivated land. It has jurisdiction over 30 villager groups and 3368 people. There are 5 members of the "two committees" of the village, 46 members of the Communist Party of China, and the per capita net income of farmers is 8700 yuan. Xuzhai village is located 1.5km north of mafan. Provincial highway 338 and sunma road cross the border. It borders Luochen in the East, mafan village in the south, Xianju Township in the north and Zhongzhai village across the river in the West. The total area is 6.5 square kilometers, including 1920 mu of cultivated land and 2000 mu of mountainous area. It has jurisdiction over 22 villager groups, 760 households and 3052 people, with a permanent resident population of 16000, 6 members of village two committees and 54 party members, and a per capita net income of 9840 yuan. The main industries of xuzhai village are commerce and logistics, forestry, planting and building materials. The development of secondary and tertiary industries in the village has begun to take shape, with complete infrastructure and convenient transportation. There are 4 Industrial Enterprises above Designated Size, 27 small and medium-sized enterprises, 1 senior high school, 1 Yangguang middle school, 1 water plant and 3 small-sized second-class reservoirs in the village. Zhongzhai village is located in the northwest of Mafan Town, adjacent to xuzhai village in the East, mafan village and Xishan village in the south, Taiping Village and Wang Village in the west, fuzhai village and Sugang village in Xianju Township in the north. It is a hilly area, with 27 villager groups, 900 households and 3600 people, covering a total area of 12782.4 mu, including 5800 mu of arable land, 2600 mu of forest land and more than 1000 mu of water area. There are 4 members of the village "two committees" and 52 members of the CPC. It is a national poverty-stricken village, and its main pillar industries are rice, wheat and rape cultivation. There are 6 classes in village primary schools with 140 students. Fuzhai village is located in the northwest of Mafan Town, 12 kilometers away from the government's residence. It faces Wu Village in Miaoxian township of Luoshan County across the river in the north, Caomiao village in Xianju Township in the northeast, Sugang village in Xianju Township in the East, Zhongzhai village and Wang Village in the south, and Zhugan River in caizhang Township, zhengwa village and Tianhu village of Luoshan County in the West. The total area of the village is 1060 hectares, including 6000 mu of cultivated land, 3000 mu of woodland, mountain and hilly land, and 1000 mu of water area. The village has 20 villager groups, 56 natural groups and 3658 people. The village is a national poverty-stricken village, and its main industries are agriculture and labor export. Ganwang village is located in the northwest of Mafan Town, 7 kilometers away from the town government, across the river from zhoudangmangzhang and Miaoxian in Luoshan, bordering Zhongzhai village in the East, fuzhai village in the north, Taiping Village and Yonglin village in the south, with a cultivated area of 3600 Mu and a water area of 2000 mu. It has jurisdiction over 25 villager groups, 46 natural villages, 820 households and 3662 people. There are 7 members of the two village committees, 54 members of the Communist Party of China, with a per capita net income of 2560 yuan. Yonglin village is located in the west of Mafan Town, 10 kilometers away from the town government. It is adjacent to Chang'an village, zhoudang Town, Luoshan County in the southwest, Taiping Village in the southeast, Wang Village in the northeast, Qinglong village and mangzhanglutang village in zhoudang Town, Luoshan County across the river in the Northwest.
