Gaotieling town is located in the southwest of Jiayu county and the northwest of Jiangnan hills. It was merged by the former gaotieling town and Badou Township, and got its name because the government was stationed in gaotieling town. It has convenient transportation and obvious location advantages. It is adjacent to the provincial capital Wuhan in the East, the ancient city Chibi in the west, Beijing Hong Kong Macao Expressway and Wuhan Shenzhen Expressway in the south, Yangtze River Waterway in the north, Lushui River running through the southwest of the town, Changgang river running through the West, Miquan Lake in the northeast and Dayan Lake in the southwest.

Historical evolution

From Xia and Shang Dynasties to Sui Dynasty, the high-speed rail ridge belonged to Jingzhou, Chu, Shaxian, Shayang and Puqi counties respectively. The Southern Tang Dynasty (953) was subordinate to Jiayu county from March 1960. from April 1960 to April 1961, it belonged to Wuchang county. since May 1961, it belongs to Jiayu county.

Gaotieling town is located in the South Bank of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River and the southwest of Jiayu county. It spans 113 ° 43 ′～ 113 ° 52 ′ E and 29 ° 46 ′～ 29 ° 56 ′ n. Dayanshan

Located at the junction of Lushui, Jiulong, Yangshan of gaotieling town and ruanjiashan of Guanqiao Town, it faces Xiashan in the north, langdang Lake in the south, Jiulongshan in the west, Meishan in the East, 2.5km long in the north and 3km wide in the West. There are three peaks in the mountain, the north is the main peak, known as Dayan peak, commonly known as Shibi, with an elevation of 243 meters; in the south, there are two peaks, Dongqiao and Xiqiao, collectively known as ruanjia mountain, with many boulders and karst caves. Lushui martyrs cemetery

In order to commemorate the revolutionary martyrs in Badou Soviet Area, in 1979, the county built a martyrs' cemetery on the south slope of the western mountain of Lushui brigade, and built a 6-meter-high revolutionary martyrs' memorial tower, which was inscribed with the words "the revolutionary martyrs will live forever". The tower base is engraved with the names and deeds of 52 martyrs, including Zhou Hongjin. The mausoleum is surrounded by a rubble wall, and the garden is lush with pines and cypresses.

A thousand year old camphor

It is located in Du's family of Zhangshu, Xinzhuang village, gaotieling town. It is about 1100 years old. The diameter of the trunk is 3 meters, 2.8 meters in east-west direction, 3.4 meters in north-south direction, and the chest circumference is 9.1 meters. There are three main branches upward, westward and northward at 2 meters of the trunk. The crown projection area is 428 square meters. In October 1997, a child burned a fire under a tree, causing the main branch to collapse. Now the damaged trunk is covered with secondary trees.

Fairy Cave

It is located at the top of Dongqiao peak, Dayan mountain, Lushui village, gaotieling town. The cave is 5 meters high, 7 meters wide and more than 80 meters long.
