Yushu Township
Yushu Township, subordinate to Zhaozhou County, Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province, is 40 kilometers north of Zhaozhou county. It is adjacent to Xingcheng town in the East and south, Datong District and Changde town of Anda City in the west, and satellite breeding stock farm, No.8 oil field factory and No.2 mine in the north. The total area of the jurisdiction is 177.67 square kilometers, and the total registered residence population is 23560 (2018).
In the late Qing Dynasty, Yushu Township belonged to Zhili Hall of Zhaozhou. In April 1961, Yushu commune was established in some villages of xixingcheng commune. In March 1984, the commune was transformed into a township. As of October 2019, Yushu township has jurisdiction over Yushu village, Changshan village, Xinxing village, Shucai village, Nongxing village, Nonghua village and Nongan village, and the township government is stationed in Yushu village.
In 2017, there were 25 enterprises in Yushu Township with 390 employees, including 7 industrial enterprises and 1 large-scale enterprise. In the late Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Zhili Hall of Zhaozhou.
In 1914, it belonged to pingxue township.
In 1931, it belonged to Liuhe and Xingcun villages in Zhaozhou county.
In 1949, it belonged to four districts of Zhaozhou county.
In April 1956, it successively belonged to Nongan Township and Changshan township.
In September 1958, it belonged to Xingcheng commune.
In April 1961, Yushu commune was established in some villages of xixingcheng commune.
In March 1984, the commune was transformed into a township.

Zhaozhou melon seeds
Zhaozhou big melon seeds are full in grain, without shriveled shell and wormhole. The seed coat is black and yellowish brown. The seed is long and cone-shaped, with a wide end and a narrow end. The wide end has the mark of tubular flower falling off, and the narrow end has the lip shaped fruit hole. It is large and thin. When eating, the peel is easy to crack into long strip shape.
