Hengzhou Town, subordinate to Quyang County, Baoding City, Hebei Province, is located in the middle of Quyang County, adjacent to Dongwang Township in the East, Wende Township in the southeast, Yangping town in the south, luzhuangzi Township in the west, Xiaomu Township, zhuangwo Township and Xiahe Township in the north. The people's Government of the town is located in zhaoqiu village of Xia County, which is the resident town of Quyang County People's government. The largest distance from the jurisdiction is 10 dry meters, the largest distance from north and south is 8 kilometers, the total area is 53.61 square kilometers, and the total registered residence population is 62149 (2018).
In 1958, Chengguan people's commune was established. In 1984, it was rebuilt as Chengguan town. In 1988, it was renamed Quyang town. In 1996, Zhao Qiu Township and people, renamed Hengzhou town. As of October 2019, Hengzhou town has jurisdiction over 8 community neighborhood committees, 28 village committees and 2 communities. There are Beiyue temple, Xiude Temple Pagoda and other national key cultural relics protection units.
In 2013, the total agricultural output value of Hengzhou town was 95.48 million yuan, the per capita net income of farmers was 3428 yuan, the total industrial output value was 874.4 million yuan, and the total retail sales of social goods was 83 million yuan. Name and origin
Hengzhou town got its name because it was the hometown of ancient Hengzhou.
Beiyue Temple
Beiyue temple is located in the west of Quyang County. It was built in the reign of emperor Xuanwu of the Northern Wei Dynasty (500-512 years). It was originally named as the temple of emperor Tianyuan of Beiyue. From the Han Dynasty to the 17th year of Shunzhi (1660) of the Qing Dynasty, Hengshan was the place where the emperor worshiped. Beiyue temple was expanded in the 23rd year of Kaiyuan in Tang Dynasty (735); Qidan invaded the temple in the first year of Chunhua in Song Dynasty (990); Taizong of Song Dynasty ordered the temple to be rebuilt in the next year; and it was set up as a place for Taoist activities in the early Yuan Dynasty. Since the Qing Dynasty Shunzhi seventeen years (1660) "moved to worship Beiyue in (Shanxi) Hunyuan", Quyang Beiyue temple was gradually abandoned.
