Test town

The town is 25 kilometers west of Luyi County, Henan Province. It is the transportation and economic hub of towns in the west of Luyi, with national highway 311 running from east to west, provincial highway 210 running from north to south, Luxin canal, Qingshui River and Jingou River crisscross. It is rich in water resources, covering an area of 6670 hectares and cultivated land of 4457 hectares.

As of 2017, the administrative area of the pilot town is 66.96 square kilometers, with a permanent population of 61853.

Historical evolution

Shiliang town is located in the eastern plain of Henan Province, in the west central area of Luyi County, Laozi's hometown. Historically, Luyi County was located in Luyi city village in the northwest of Shiliang town. It was only when Luyi and Weizhen counties merged into one county in 1265 that it withdrew from the historical stage.

It was built in 1958, changed to township in 1983, and built a town in 1988. In 2007, it has a total area of 62 square kilometers and a population of 54000.

Economics

Grain processing industry: Baijiu production is the main food processing industry. It has a long history. 54 years ago, we have been awarded the golden cup award of the World Expo for 93 years.

Cotton processing industry: relying on Luyi high-quality cotton County, there are four large-scale cotton processing enterprises, including Guojie cotton industry, Hengxiang cotton industry, Zhenbei cotton industry and trial production cotton mill, with an annual processing capacity of more than 10000 tons of seed cotton and spinning capacity of more than 3000 tons.

Food processing industry: trial dog meat is a traditional local famous food, which has been listed in Henan famous menu.
