Dahou Township

Dahou township is located 5 kilometers southeast of Yucheng, which is the east gate of Yucheng. It borders Xiayi County in the East, Wenji Township in the south, Liudian Township in the west, Chengjiao Township and Zhengji Township in the north. It governs 40 administrative villages and 132 natural villages.

Evolution of organizational system

Dahou commune was established in 1958 and the township was changed in 1983. In November 2001, Dahou and Yingpan merged, which was called Yingpan township. Dahou was transformed into an administrative region. In May 2003, Dahou and Yingpan were separated, and their organizational system was restored, which was called Dahou township. In 2005, Yingpan township was merged with Dahou Township, known as Dahou township.

Agricultural situation

Dahou township's economy is mainly agriculture, which is one of the main commodity grain producing areas in Yucheng County. In the 1990s, it planned and improved the "six industrial bases".
